Is this bottle suitable for repeated use?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if handled correctly. However, with every new filling it is essential to follow basic hygiene principles – the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before filling. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination of the new product.

How to safely clean and maintain the plastic bottle with a gold flip-top closure?

We recommend rinsing the bottle after emptying with warm (not boiling) water and a mild detergent and then rinsing it thoroughly with clean water. For further use it is advisable to let the packaging dry completely and disinfect it with alcohol before refilling (e.g. isopropyl alcohol or ethanol of plant origin). The use of aggressive cleaning agents or mechanical scrubbing with abrasive sponges is not recommended in order to avoid damaging the surface and the aesthetic appearance of the closure.

Before recycling it is advisable to empty the bottle as much as possible and rinse it with residual water to remove product residues. The subsequent method of recycling depends on the material specified in the product parameters in the table on the Handymade page – according to this you should sort the packaging into the appropriate separate waste stream (for example plastic packaging into the plastic container). The closure can be separated according to local recycling rules if it is made from a different type of plastic. If you are not sure, we recommend following the local waste sorting instructions in your municipality or city.
