White plastic bottle with white disc top, 150 ml is a complete bottle and closure set for liquid and medium-viscosity cosmetic products. The white opaque PET bottle limits light exposure to the contents, is lightweight and shatter-resistant, making it suitable for the bathroom, travel, and retail sale. The disc top allows one-handed dispensing: pressing the edge opens a small outlet, the product is squeezed out by gently pressing the bottle, and pressing again closes the cap.

The set is intended primarily for body lotions, shampoos, shower gels, and liquid soaps — products that are used regularly and dispensed in smaller amounts.

Which products the set is suitable for

The disc top works best with products of medium viscosity that are pressed out when the bottle is squeezed and do not drip after releasing. Typically these include body lotions, shampoos, shower gels, conditioners, liquid soaps, facial cleansing gels, and lighter massage emulsions.

With very thin contents (tonics, hydrolats, facial waters) the product flows through the disc top quickly and is harder to dispense. For such products, a spray or dropper is more suitable. With thick creams and butters, on the other hand, the product may be difficult to squeeze out and may dry in the opening. For such textures, a pump or jar is more appropriate.

Before ordering a larger quantity, fill one set as a test and verify how your formulation dispenses. The viscosity of an emulsion may still change after cooling and resting, so perform the test on a finished product that has rested for at least a day.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume of 150 ml is the volume the bottle is designed for under standard filling conditions. The total volume up to the neck rim is somewhat larger. This difference is a reserve for the closure and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes — not additional space to fill. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume; overfilling up to the neck leads to leakage when closing and pressure on the disc top when squeezed.

What is worth knowing before filling

Container preparation. Before first use, wash both the bottle and the cap, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave to dry completely. Residual water in the neck or in the disc top channel is a common source of microbial contamination of the product.

Filling temperature. PET is not intended for hot filling. Allow emulsions and gels to cool to approximately room temperature before filling; otherwise the bottle wall may deform and the cap may not seal correctly.

Product composition. PET tolerates aqueous solutions, surfactant systems, and standard emulsions well. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils, alcohol, or solvents, we recommend verifying the behaviour of the container with the specific product over a period of several weeks. Changes in shape, cloudiness of the wall, or softening of the material indicate that the container is not suitable for that product. Do not expose the bottle to aggressive chemicals.

Leak-tightness during transport. The disc top is a dispensing closure, not a transport closure. Before shipping or travelling, verify that the cap is firmly tightened and the disc is pressed down, and consider additional neck sealing for shipments.

The food contact certification applies to the bottle alone; the disc top cap does not hold this certification. The complete set is therefore intended for cosmetic products, not for filling oils, syrups, or other food products.

Labelling and reuse. The cylindrical shape of the bottle labels well. The bottle can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection; for the cap, check that the disc still closes firmly. The bottle is made of PET and the cap of PP; separate them for recycling and dispose of as plastic.
