Can this plastic bottle be reused?

Yes, the packaging can be reused with appropriate use, but always only with strict adherence to hygiene principles. Before each new filling, the bottle must be mechanically cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose. For disinfection, you can use, for example, the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Only after thorough drying is the packaging ready for a new filling.

How should I properly clean the bottle before first use and before repeated filling?

Before first use and before each subsequent filling, we recommend first rinsing the packaging with a suitable detergent and potable water to remove mechanical impurities. Then disinfect the inner surface with an alcohol solution, for example using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle to drain thoroughly and dry at room temperature so that no residues of water or alcohol remain that could affect your formulation.

How should I correctly recycle this bottle if I no longer want to use it?

The method of recycling depends on the material indicated in the parameter table for the product. After emptying the packaging, remove as much product residue as possible, or rinse it. Then sort the bottle into the collection container designated for the given type of plastic according to local waste sorting rules. The metal cap should be separated from the bottle and sorted separately, if the collection system in your municipality allows it. By following this procedure, you support effective material recovery of the packaging and reduce the amount of mixed waste.

Is this bottle suitable for products with a higher content of alcohol or essential oils?

The resistance of the packaging to alcohol and essential oils depends on the specific type of plastic and the concentration of active substances in your formula. Before use in final production, we therefore recommend performing a compatibility test: fill a smaller number of bottles with the finished product and observe the behaviour of the packaging (softening, colour change, tightness of the closure) over several weeks. In this way you will verify whether the packaging material is suitable for your formulation in the long term.
