White Plastic Bottle, Silver Aluminium Cap, 250 ml

A white plastic bottle with a volume of 250 ml and an aluminium screw cap is used for filling and storing liquid cosmetics in larger quantities. The opaque white PET reduces light exposure, and the bottle is lightweight and does not break when dropped, so it holds up well in the bathroom as well as in a travel bag. The silver aluminium cap with a 24/410 neck finish closes the bottle without a dispensing element. The contents are poured out, transferred to a smaller container or applied directly onto the palm. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics.

What it is suitable for

The 250 ml volume and smooth plastic surface suit mainly products that are used up faster or dispensed in larger portions.

• Toners and hydrosols – water-based products, where the white walls of the bottle reduce exposure to daylight.
• Body and massage oils – a larger volume for regular use, dispensed by pouring onto the palm.
• Liquid soaps, shampoos and shower gels – a refill bottle used to top up a smaller bottle with a pump or sprayer.
• Hair rinses and floral waters for home use – a lightweight bottle that is easy to hold even with a wet hand.
• Intermediate products in production – measured water or oil phases, semi-finished products and macerated oils waiting for further processing.

Volume and filling

Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. Brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is always slightly larger. The difference is a margin for the cap and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes, so that nothing overflows when the bottle is closed. The bottle should therefore be filled up to the nominal volume.

Good to know

The bottle and the cap are supplied non-sterile. Before the first filling, wash the packaging, disinfect the inside with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Follow the same procedure with every reuse, especially if the bottle previously held an oil-based product and is now being filled with a water-based one.

PET is not intended for filling with hot contents. Let products made by a hot process cool down before filling. With concentrated essential oils, fragrance compositions and solvents, check how the packaging behaves with your specific formulation, as plastic may react to them differently than glass.

The aluminium cap has an inner EPE liner that sits on the neck of the bottle. Test the seal with the finished product, both when inverted and during transport.
