A wooden wick with a holder is a ready-to-use assembly for making container candles: a flat crackling wick made from a single wooden slat and a metal holder that keeps it upright on the bottom of the container. The wick is made from certified wood. It simply slides into the holder, so preparing the container before pouring wax takes only a few seconds.

How to choose the right size

Candle-making process

Wick length is adjusted to the height of the container. Once the wax has set, trim the wick with wick trimmers or sturdy scissors. A wooden wick that is too long burns with a high flame and produces smoke; one that is too short gets submerged in wax and goes out.

Before each subsequent lighting, the charred portion of the wick must be removed. It is worth including this information on the candle label for the customer.
