ZENISOAPBASE Melt & Pour, No Sweat, Transparent, 10 kg

Transparent soap base for making soaps using the melt and pour method: melt, colour, fragrance and pour into a mould, with no lye work and no curing time required. The base is non-sweating, so finished soaps retain a dry, glossy surface even in packaging. The 10 kg pack is intended for manufacturers who pour soaps in batches, prepare gift sets or run workshops.

The base is clear and colourless, so colourants show true and embedded elements remain visible. It is of European origin, in cosmetic quality, free from alcohol, parabens, silicones and formaldehyde.

Key properties

• Non-sweating surface – finished soaps remain dry to the touch, with no moisture condensation that spoils the appearance of packaged and gift items.
• Clear and colourless – suitable for layered soaps, soaps with embedded objects and for combining with white base.
• Processing at 65 – 75 °C – the base melts in a double boiler or microwave and once set in the mould the soap is ready.
• For hands, body and face – suitable for all skin types as a rinse-off product.
• Free from fragrance allergens – the base itself contains none of the allergens listed under Regulation 1223/2009; allergens may only be introduced by the added fragrance.

Working with the soap base

Cut the base into smaller cubes for even melting. Melt in a double boiler or microwave in short intervals, stirring between each. The recommended processing temperature is 65 – 75 °C; do not boil the base or heat it beyond this range.

Add colourant and fragrance to the melted base, stir slowly to avoid incorporating air, and pour into the mould. Tiny bubbles on the surface can be removed with a light spray of alcohol. In a clear base colourant appears more intense than in white, so start with a small amount and adjust the shade. Dose fragrance oils, colourants and other additives according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Place embedded elements – such as smaller soaps, dried flowers or toys – into the mould and pour over the slightly cooled base. The clear base will display them in full.

Suitable for making

• Hand, body and face soaps – basic solid soaps, coloured and clear, for all skin types.
• Gift and decorative soaps – layered, marbled, with embedded elements, where the non-sweating surface keeps the appearance intact even in packaging.
• Workshop soaps – no lye work involved, manageable even for beginners.

The base is intended exclusively for soaps and rinse-off use. It is not suitable as a base for leave-on products.

Good to know

The base has an anionic character and is compatible with alkaline pH and anionic surfactants. When adding active ingredients, extracts or other surfactants, we recommend verifying their compatibility with an alkaline environment and anionic surfactants.

Finished soap is water-soluble. Store it on a soap dish in humid environments so it can drain. Leftover base after pouring can be set aside and remelted.

The soap base is not classified as hazardous under the CLP Regulation and does not contain intentionally added microplastics.
