Product description
Silver aluminium bottle with matte black mini trigger sprayer, 225 ml
A set for water-based and alcohol-based cosmetic products that are applied as a fine mist. The 225 ml aluminium bottle and the 24/410 mini trigger sprayer are suitable for face and body toners, hydrosols, hair sprays and refreshing body mists. Aluminium shields the contents from light, is lightweight and does not break when dropped. The bottle therefore holds up well when travelling, in a salon and in a bathroom, where glass would be a risk.
Both components are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The set is intended for cosmetics and is not approved for contact with food.
How the set works
- Fine mist – the mini trigger sprayer disperses the liquid into tiny droplets with every press. A toner or hydrosol is applied evenly and does not run down the skin.
- Measured dose – one press releases approximately 0.35 ml, so you can estimate how much product is used and your customer does not waste it.
- Light protection – the aluminium wall does not let light through, which helps with contents that are sensitive to UV radiation, for example hydrosols or toners with plant extracts and vitamins.
- Low weight and durability – the bottle withstands normal handling, does not break and makes parcels of finished products lighter to ship.
- Smooth matte collar – the black sprayer without ribbing is easy to wipe clean and matches the silver bottle.
What it is suitable for
The sprayer works with thin liquids. The set is therefore intended for products with a viscosity close to water: face toners, pure hydrosols, hair toners and detangling sprays, refreshing body mists, or water-based or alcohol-based deodorant sprays. The 225 ml volume suits body and hair products, where several presses are dispensed at once.
Thick serums, emulsions, creams and pure vegetable oils do not belong in this sprayer. The mechanism either fails to draw them up or pushes them out in a stream instead of a mist, and over time it becomes clogged. For oils, pumps or droppers are a better choice in the Handymade range.
Nominal and total volume
The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total brim-full volume is the physical volume up to the neck, and you can find it in the parameters. The difference between them is a reserve for the tube and the sprayer mechanism, and room for the contents to expand when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled up to the nominal volume. If you filled it to the brim, part of the contents would overflow through the neck when the sprayer is screwed on.
Good to know
Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle, disinfecting it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leaving it to dry completely with the neck facing down. The sprayer is disinfected by pumping alcohol through the mechanism and then pumping clean water through it until it comes out clear. Store the empty set in a dry, clean place.
The sprayer tube is longer than the height of the bottle. Shorten it with a diagonal cut so that it ends just above the bottom. A diagonal cut prevents the end of the tube from sticking to the bottom and the sprayer from failing to draw up the last millilitres.
For contents with a low pH, for strongly alcoholic products or for a high proportion of essential oils, we recommend always checking how the packaging behaves with your specific formulation. Before putting the product on sale, leave a full bottle to stand for several weeks and monitor the tightness of the thread, the function of the sprayer and any change in the contents.
Fill only with products that have cooled down. A hot liquid heats the whole packaging, and after closing, a vacuum can form in the container as it cools, which deforms the thin aluminium wall.
The set can be used repeatedly if it is thoroughly cleaned and dried after emptying. When changing the contents, especially after fragranced products, keep in mind that the plastic parts of the sprayer may retain some of the scent. You can find closures with the same 24/410 neck finish and other ready-made combinations of a bottle with a pump or cap in the Handymade range. If you make your own combination, we recommend checking the tightness and dispensing.
For recycling, separate the plastic sprayer from the aluminium bottle. Aluminium can be recycled repeatedly without losing its properties, while the sprayer belongs with plastics.
