Product description
Glass dropper bottle type B, tall, made of amber glass with a capacity of 10 ml, supplied together with a long plastic dropper insert and a white screw cap for neck 18/410. Amber glass filters light, making the set suitable for contents that light gradually degrades: essential oil blends, facial serums, face oil elixirs, oil samples or herbal tinctures. The tall, slender shape fits well in the hand, and the dropper dispenses the contents drop by drop, which you will appreciate wherever a precise amount needs to be measured.
What the set consists of and how to dispense
The base is a glass bottle. A transparent dropper insert made of polypropylene is pressed into its neck, and the whole is closed with a white polyethylene cap. The dropper remains in the neck throughout use. After unscrewing the cap, the bottle is tilted and the contents flow out one drop at a time, without a rubber bulb. The long version of the dropper reaches deeper into the neck and does not come loose during normal use.
The white cap contrasts with the amber glass, which suits product lines where individual fragrances or variants are distinguished by cap colour. The same bottle is also available in the Handymade range with other closures for the 18/410 neck, and ready-made sets have their own description. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal and dispensing with the specific formulation.
What it is suitable for
- Essential oil blends – the small volume and drop-by-drop dispensing match how essential oils are used in diffusers, baths or massage blends.
- Oil-based facial and hair serums – 10 ml is a common size for concentrated oil serums applied a few drops at a time.
- Tinctures and alcohol extracts – glass is resistant to alcohol and the dark version slows the fading of plant pigments.
- Samples and testers – when developing a formula or offering samples to customers, a small bottle is an economical packaging option.
- Fragrance oils and scent concentrates – with the dropper you can measure an exact number of drops into soap mass or candle wax.
Aqueous contents such as tonics or hydrolates are harder to dispense through a dropper. Thin liquids flow faster and drops are more difficult to control. For these, a spray or a bottle without a dropper is more suitable.
Nominal and total volume
Nominal volume of 10 ml is the volume the bottle is designed for during normal filling. Total volume to the rim is greater – it is the physical volume of the glass up to the neck. The difference between the two values forms a reserve for the dropper insert, which takes up part of the space when pressed into the neck, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes.
Fill to the nominal volume, not to the rim. When the bottle is overfilled, inserting the dropper pushes the contents out through the neck, soiling the thread, which then seals less well.
Good to know
Before first use, wash the bottle and dropper, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water in an oil-based content promotes microbial growth and causes cloudiness. Glass tolerates hot water and standard disinfection; plastic parts are cleaned in warm water without aggressive solvents.
The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity is available with the product. The glass bottle alone has certification for direct contact with food; the complete set with dropper and cap is intended for cosmetics.
The polypropylene dropper and polyethylene cap are common materials for closures used with oils and alcohol-based solutions. With highly concentrated essential oils, especially citrus ones, or with solvents, we recommend verifying the behaviour of the plastic parts on a single unit before filling an entire batch.
Do not put a bottle with an aqueous content in the freezer, and do not heat it rapidly, for example with hot water immediately after taking it out of the cold. Glass can withstand ordinary temperature differences, but not sudden jumps.
The bottle can be reused after emptying and washing. When changing the contents, it is better to replace the dropper so that the scent of the previous fill is not transferred. Glass goes into glass waste; plastic parts are sorted separately.
