Before filling, we recommend visually checking the bottle, removing any dust and impurities and then thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting it. For disinfection in home and semi-professional manufacturing, the use of alcohol has proven effective, for example isopropyl alcohol or 96% denatured plant-based ethanol. After treatment with alcohol, allow the packaging to air well and dry completely so that it is ready for safe filling.

The glass dropper bottle can, if hygiene principles are observed, be reused for further batches or other products. After each use, rinse out the remaining content thoroughly, remove residues of the original product and disinfect the packaging using alcohol, for example IPA 99% or 96% denatured plant-based ethanol. Only after it has dried thoroughly is the bottle ready for refilling. When changing the type of product (for example from an oil-based to a water-based product), we recommend paying increased attention to cleaning.

When using the dropper, dose the content vertically above the container or the palm of the hand to prevent it from running down the neck of the bottle. After use, always tighten the closure carefully so that no impurities enter the packaging and so that volatile components do not evaporate. In case of deposits or product residues on the dropper, clean it carefully and allow it to dry. When changing the formulation, we recommend disassembling the dropper and cap to the extent allowed by the construction, cleaning them mechanically and disinfecting with alcohol so that dosing remains consistent.

The glass surface of the bottle is suitable for applying self-adhesive labels as well as smaller paper tags. When designing the label, we recommend taking into account the diameter and height of the straight part of the wall so that the label does not peel off and does not extend into the neck thread. High-quality adhesives intended for cosmetic packaging adhere well to smooth glass. You can complement the appearance with a colour-coordinated cap, decorative elements or a string around the neck, while ensuring that the decorations do not obstruct convenient opening and closing of the packaging.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it according to the types of materials listed in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in the container designated for glass after removing product residues and labels. The cap, dropper or any plastic or rubber components are sorted according to their material into the appropriate containers for separated waste. Before discarding, it is advisable to rinse the packaging at least roughly to minimise cosmetic residues in the waste system. Always adapt the specific way of sorting to local rules and to the information in the product parameter table.
