Amber Plastic Bottle, Transparent Flip Top, 150 ml

An amber PET bottle with a 150 ml volume and a clear flip top cap is ready-to-use packaging for liquid and medium-thick cosmetic products that are dispensed by squeezing the bottle directly: shampoos, shower gels, body and face lotions, toners, micellar waters, or cleansing and massage oils. The amber colour dims light, so contents sensitive to sunlight, for example vegetable oils and products with vitamins, are better protected than in clear packaging. PET is lightweight and unbreakable, so the bottle holds up well in the bathroom, by the sink and in a gym bag.

The cap opens by flipping it up with your thumb and closes with a click. The contents can be dispensed with one hand, without unscrewing and without searching for a cap you have put down. The bottle and the cap both have a 24/410 neck finish, and once filled the set is ready to use.

What the set is suitable for

• Shampoos and shower gels – a liquid to medium-thick consistency flows smoothly through the cap opening, and the amount is controlled by how hard you squeeze the bottle.
• Body and face lotions – light emulsions squeeze out of the bottle easily, even with a wet hand after a shower.
• Toners and micellar waters – water-based solutions are applied through the flip top onto a cotton pad or into the palm without spilling.
• Cleansing and massage oils – a thin oil is dispensed in small amounts directly into the palm, and the cap clicks shut even with oily hands, without any screwing.
• Facial cleansing gels – 150 ml lasts for several weeks of daily washing.

Nominal volume and total volume

The nominal volume of 150 ml is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total volume to the brim, that is the physical volume up to the neck, is higher and you will find it in the parameters. The difference is a reserve for the cap and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume. If it were filled to the brim, the contents would be pushed into the cap when closing, and the first squeeze would release a larger dose than desired.

Good to know

• Preparation before first filling – wash the bottle and the cap, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely before filling.
• Aggressive contents – the packaging should not be exposed to aggressive chemicals. For products with a high proportion of alcohol, solvents or concentrated essential oils, we recommend observing how the bottle and the cap behave with the specific formulation over time, especially cloudiness, softening of the wall and tightness.
• Reuse – after thorough washing and disinfection, the set can be used again. With a flip top cap, check that the hinge holds and that the cap seals after it clicks shut.
• Contact with cosmetics – the bottle and the cap are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The set is not intended for contact with food.
• Other closures – other closures with a 24/410 neck finish from the Handymade range also fit the bottle. For your own combination, we recommend verifying tightness and dispensing with the specific contents.
• Recycling – the bottle is made of PET and the cap of PP. Before disposal, unscrew the cap; both parts belong in plastics recycling.
