Plastic jar with lid represents a practical and reliable packaging for a wide range of cosmetic and body care products. Thanks to the high-quality plastic material, it is suitable for packaging various creamy, gel-like and more solid formulations that require a stable container with a well-sealing closure. The jar is designed to protect the contents from impurities, unwanted contamination and normal mechanical influences during everyday use.
In combination with a precisely fitting lid, this packaging creates a compact and user-friendly container that is suitable for the bathroom, handbag and for travelling. Thanks to its versatility, it is a popular choice for homemade cosmetic production, artisanal manufacturing and smaller brands that are looking for professional-looking and at the same time practical jars.
The combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation). In this way you will verify that the selected jar with lid will work reliably with your product and filling technology.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the plastic jar is also suitable for thicker creams, body butters, balms or ointments. The wider opening of the container facilitates scooping products with higher viscosity and the stable construction of the jar helps to maintain the shape even with thicker formulations. For very greasy or highly pigmented products, we recommend performing your own test in order to verify the long-term compatibility with the composition used.
The jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based agent, for example with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use products available on Handymade, such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the disinfectant has completely dried and ventilated is the jar suitable for refilling.
First mechanically remove any residues of the original product, then wash the jar with a suitable cleaning agent and warm water. After rinsing, let the packaging dry and carry out disinfection, ideally with alcohol in an appropriate concentration (for example with products based on isopropyl alcohol or ethanol). After applying the disinfectant, it is important to let the container dry and ventilate completely so that no alcohol residues or odour remain in the packaging, which could affect the fragrance or stability of the new formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend first emptying it and mechanically removing the product residues. Then sort the packaging according to the type of material stated in the product parameters and the markings on the packaging – into the corresponding sorted waste fraction (for example plastic container) in your municipality. For combined packaging, it is advisable to separate the lid from the container, if possible. By following local waste sorting rules, you support effective material recycling and the reduction of mixed municipal waste.
To select suitable packaging, you can use the extended filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Thanks to the filter, you can clearly narrow down the offer according to key parameters such as neck type, size, colour or material. In this way, you will quickly find bottles, jars or other containers that best match your formulation, required volume and the design of the final product.
