A plastic jar with a lid is a practical and easy-to-close container suitable for packaging various loose and semi-liquid products. Thanks to its reliable closure, it helps protect the contents from impurities and moisture, which is especially appreciated by manufacturers of cosmetics, body care products and homemade blends. The opaque design also helps to minimize the effect of light on more sensitive components of formulations.
The jar is designed to ensure comfortable filling and use in both smaller and larger cosmetic workshops. The durable plastic material is suitable for everyday handling and, with proper use, also allows repeated use of the container.
Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product specifications.
The jar can be reused if basic hygiene principles and appropriate cleaning methods are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the container, ideally using suitable disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. After cleaning, allow the jar and lid to dry completely before refilling them.
After emptying the jar, remove any product residues and then wash it with a suitable cleaning agent that is compatible with your formulation. We then recommend disinfecting the surface and interior of the container using alcohol, for example with IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % ethanol denatured vegetable. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to air dry at room temperature. Avoid excessive heating and aggressive cleaning procedures that could shorten the service life of the material.
If you decide not to use the jar anymore, we recommend first emptying it and removing any remaining contents. Then follow the recommended sorting method according to the material specified in the product specifications for this packaging on Handymade.sk. Depending on the type of plastic (for example, the type of recycling symbol in the parameter table), place the container and the lid in the appropriate container for sorted waste. This will support efficient material recycling and reduce the amount of waste from cosmetic production.
The jar is ideal especially for packaging products with a thicker to semi-solid consistency that can be conveniently scooped with fingers or a spatula – body and face creams, butters, balms, ointments, scrubs or clay masks. It is also suitable for dry and loose products such as bath salts, powder masks or various blends intended for cosmetic purposes. For very liquid formulations, consider whether a bottle with a dispenser or another type of closure might be more suitable for you.
When choosing packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging material categories. You can find it at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars, pots). In the advanced filter, you can conveniently set parameters such as the type of neck, the required size, colour and material of the packaging. This will narrow down the selection to packaging that corresponds to your formulation and your idea of the final product, making it easier to find the optimal solution for your project.
