For which products is the set suitable

The dispenser releases a small, repeatable amount of product with each press, without opening the bottle and without the hands touching the contents. This matters for products used daily in larger quantities, and for products with an aqueous phase where repeated opening increases the risk of contamination.

• Liquid soaps and shower gels – the dispenser is the standard format for handwash and shower use.
• Shampoos and conditioners – dispenses smoothly with liquid to medium-viscosity formulas; very thick conditioners may be more difficult to pump.
• Body and face lotions – light O/W emulsions dispense precisely and without dripping.
• Lighter oils and oil serums – opaque PET slows light-induced oxidation for oils prone to oxidation; the dispenser measures out small amounts without spilling.
• Liquid food products – oils, syrups, or dressings dispensed in small quantities.

Thick creams, butters, scrubs with particles, and high-viscosity gels are not suitable for this set. The dispenser will either fail to draw them up or become clogged. A jar or a bottle with a cap is more appropriate for such products.

How the dispenser works

The dispenser thread matches the bottle neck, and the dip tube reaches to the bottom. After screwing on for the first time, press the head several times until the system is primed and begins dispensing. The dose volume per press is stated in the product specifications.

The tube is supplied with a length allowance. Before first use, trim it so that it ends just above the bottom of the bottle without bending. A correctly trimmed tube allows almost the entire contents to be drawn out and reduces the risk of the dispenser drawing in air when the bottle is tilted.

Nominal and total volume

There is an important distinction between two figures when filling. The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed to hold under normal filling conditions and corresponds to the quantity stated on the label. The total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck. The difference between the two is a reserve for the dispenser, which after screwing on takes up part of the internal space with the dip tube and pump body, and for expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

What to keep in mind when filling

• Preparation before first filling – it is advisable to rinse the bottle and dispenser, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow to dry completely. Flush the tube by pumping through clean water followed by air.
• Temperature of the contents – PET is not designed for hot-fill applications. Allow emulsions and gels to cool to room temperature before filling, otherwise the bottle may deform.
• Preservation – the dispenser is not an airless system. Every press introduces air into the bottle, so products with an aqueous phase require an effective preservative system just as they would in an open bottle.
• The level is not visible – black PET is opaque and the remaining contents cannot be judged by sight. It is worth informing customers of this when selling; weighing helps when filling in-house.
• Essential oils and solvents – PET tolerates standard cosmetic concentrations of essential oils. For products with a high proportion of essential oils, alcohol, or oil-based solvents, we recommend testing the packaging behaviour and the dispenser's seal integrity with the specific formulation.
• Reuse – the set can be disassembled, washed, and refilled. Pump warm water with a small amount of cleaning agent through the dispenser, then clean water, and allow to dry.
• Recycling – the bottle is made of PET, the dispenser of PP. Separate them before disposal as they are two different materials.
