FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Is this bottle suitable for thicker products or only for thin liquids?

The disc top closure works best with thin to medium‑viscosity liquid formulations, such as toners, light emulsions, shower gels or shampoos. With very thick creams and balms, dispensing may be less comfortable – in such a case we recommend considering a bottle with a pump or a jar. Before making the final choice of packaging, it is advisable to carry out a trial filling with the specific product.

Can I reuse this bottle for different products?

The packaging can be reused if strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example with isopropyl alcohol or with denatured plant ethanol. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new product by residues of the previous formulation.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the bottle before refilling?

First, we recommend mechanically rinsing the packaging with warm water and a mild detergent to remove product residues. Then rinse the bottle several times with clean water, allow it to drain and, if possible, to dry completely. Before filling, disinfect the inner and outer surface with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using IPA 99% or 96% denatured plant ethanol. Allow the disinfectant to act and the excess to evaporate.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend that after emptying and roughly rinsing it, you put it into sorted waste according to the material specified in the product parameters (for example into a container intended for plastic packaging). Always follow local waste‑sorting rules and the pictogram / designation of the recyclable material given with the product. The closure is usually made from a different type of plastic than the bottle body, so it is ideal to take the packaging apart before disposal to make sorting and the recycling process easier.
