Product description

Lavender essential oil is one of the most versatile and at the same time most commonly used essential oils, suitable for adults as well as for children.

Essential oil from broadleaf lavender (Spike Lavender) is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers of the plant Lavandula latifolia (syn: Lavandula spica), Labiatae. Its scent, compared to “classic” lavender, is more herbal, even camphoraceous.

Essential oil from broadleaf lavender has, thanks to its eucalyptol content, similar effects on the organism as eucalyptus essential oil. It is very effective in treating respiratory tract problems, supports concentration and helps to eliminate fatigue and exhaustion.

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. When handling, use appropriate protective equipment.

Do you know what the shelf life of essential oils is, how to store them correctly, or which essential oils to combine? You can read everything about essential oils on our blog.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, they also have healing and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.

Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are most often obtained from plants by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oil, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products that do not contain oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW WILL I USE THE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Production of cosmetics and soaps – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the quantity produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or into a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils alone are insoluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. A pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.

Essential oils are also commonly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, in oral hygiene care...
