Green Glass Bottle, Gold Black Dropper, 100 ml

Ready-made set of a glass vial-shaped bottle with a volume of 100 ml and a glass dropper with a black-gold cap. It is intended for liquid cosmetic preparations dosed in drops or in small quantities: facial and hair oils, serums, carrier oil blends with essential oils, tinctures or oil extracts.

Green glass filters part of the light that reaches the contents, helping to slow down the oxidation of sensitive oils. It is not opaque, so the fill level is still visible. Glass does not react with oils or alcohol solutions and does not absorb fragrances, which is a practical advantage when working with essential oils. The dropper allows you to take exactly as much as needed, without finger contact with the contents.

Suitable for products such as

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. It works best with preparations of low to medium viscosity that are applied in drops:

• facial oils and oil serums,
• water or hydrosol-based serums with active ingredients,
• oil blends for hair, ends and scalp,
• oils for nails and cuticles,
• blends of carrier and essential oils for massage or aromatherapy,
• tinctures and alcohol extracts.

For thick serums with a high proportion of gelling agents or for creams, the dropper is not suitable. Thick contents are difficult to draw into the tube and drops do not form evenly.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity for which the bottle is intended for normal filling. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a reserve for the glass tube of the dropper, which when screwed in displaces some of the contents upward, and for the expansion of contents with temperature changes. Therefore fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, the contents will overflow through the neck when the dropper is inserted, soiling the thread and causing the cap to lose its seal.

What is worth knowing

Before the first fill, we recommend washing the bottle and dropper, rinsing with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing to dry completely. Residual water in an oil product promotes microbial growth and compromises stability.

The dropper consists of a glass tube, a silicone bulb and a cap with a plastic and aluminium part. The glass part withstands both oils and alcohol without issues. With concentrated essential oils or blends containing a high proportion of citrus or mint essential oils, it is advisable to check the behaviour of the silicone bulb in the finished formulation. Prolonged contact with aggressive essential oils may soften the bulb material over time.

Reuse is straightforward with glass. Before refilling, the bottle is cleaned and disinfected, and the dropper is rinsed by drawing and releasing a cleaning solution several times. When changing the formula, it is better to replace the dropper with a new one.

Glass and heat: do not fill the bottle with hot contents; a sudden change in temperature can damage the glass. Liquid oils and serums are filled at room temperature or after cooling.

Label: the flat cylindrical surface of the vial is easy to label.

Closures: the set comes with a dropper, but other closures with the same neck type also fit the bottle. Finished combinations are available in the product range; for a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal and dosing with the specific formulation.

Recycling: the glass bottle belongs in coloured glass recycling; the dropper should be separated before disposal, as it combines glass, silicone, plastic and metal.
