Can this glass bottle with spray pump be used repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be safely reused if hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the spray pump, rinsing them and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol preparation (for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based). Only after completely drying is the bottle ready to be refilled.

For which type of products is this spray packaging most suitable?

The glass bottle with spray pump is ideal for liquid formulations with low to medium viscosity that are to be applied in the form of a fine mist. In practice it is most often used for facial and body sprays, hydrolats, water- and alcohol-based aromatic blends, hair sprays, air fresheners or textile sprays. For thicker emulsions it is necessary to test the functionality of the spray pump in advance.

How should I correctly clean the glass bottle and spray pump before re-use?

First we recommend mechanically rinsing the packaging with warm water and a mild cleansing agent, then rinsing it several times with clean water so that no residues of the original product or detergent remain in the container or in the spray pump tube. It is then appropriate to disinfect the internal surfaces with alcohol – it is practical to use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, swirl the bottle and the mechanism and actuate the spray pump several times. After disinfection, leave all parts to dry thoroughly in the air.

How should I recycle the packaging if I do not want to reuse it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend dismantling it into individual parts according to the material types. After rinsing off any product residues, the glass bottle usually belongs in the container designated for glass, while the plastic spray mechanism (including the tube) belongs in sorted plastic waste, or according to the recommendations of your local collection system.
