Warning regarding PET material: PET packaging should not be exposed to high temperatures, because with long-term or intensive heating it may lead to deformation of the packaging. For this reason, the bottle is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. Gentle manual cleaning and disinfection with suitable products intended for contact with cosmetic packaging is recommended.

FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Is it possible to use this plastic bottle repeatedly?

Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Spread the disinfectant solution over the internal surface, leave it to act and let the bottle dry completely before the next filling.

Can I sterilise this PET bottle by boiling or in a dishwasher?

No, PET material is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures, therefore boiling or washing in a dishwasher is not recommended. At high temperatures there is a risk of deformation of the packaging and deterioration of its mechanical properties. For cleaning the packaging, we recommend gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with a mild cleaning agent and subsequent disinfection with an alcohol solution, for example using the products IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %.

How should I fill the bottle correctly to minimise the risk of contamination of the contents?

Before filling, first clean the bottle mechanically, rinse it and disinfect it with a suitable alcohol disinfectant. After complete drying, we recommend using clean working tools such as funnels or dosing pumps and avoiding direct contact of the inner neck of the bottle with skin or non-sterile objects. For liquid and gel cosmetic formulations, it is important to fill the bottle slowly to avoid foaming and the formation of bubbles, which can affect the appearance and dispensing of the product.

How should I correctly recycle this PET bottle if I do not want to reuse it?

If you decide not to continue using the bottle, we recommend first emptying it completely and, if possible, rinsing out any residue of the contents. PET packaging is normally sorted into containers designated for plastics according to the locally applicable waste sorting rules. The cap is usually made from a different type of plastic, therefore we recommend separating the bottle and the cap before disposal to simplify the recycling line. The specific method of sorting may differ depending on the municipality or collection company, therefore follow the recommendations of the local waste sorting system.
