Combining with closures and dispensers

This packaging is supplied as a complete combination of bottle with dispensing mechanism and cap, ready for immediate use during filling. Packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Technical parameters

All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.

If the packaging is made of PET material, it is necessary to take into account that PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, at which there is a risk of deformation of the packaging. Such packaging is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher or for boiling. Gentle manual cleaning is recommended, in accordance with hygiene standards and the recommendations for the specific type of fill.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this bottle be used repeatedly?

The packaging can be reused provided that you follow basic hygiene principles and it is suitable for the given type of formulation. Before each new filling, the bottle, dispenser and cap must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant ethanol. Only after complete drying is the packaging ready for refilling.

How should I properly clean the packaging before first use?

Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle and all parts of the dispenser with a suitable soapy or detergent solution, then thoroughly rinsing with drinking water and letting them drain. After mechanical cleaning, it is advisable to apply disinfection using an alcohol solution (e.g. IPA or ethanol), which helps to reduce the microbial load. After complete drying, you can fill the packaging with the prepared product.

Is this bottle suitable for thicker creams or gels?

The dispensing mechanism is ideal mainly for liquid to medium-viscosity preparations such as light emulsions, fluids and thin gels. For very thick creams, dosing may be limited or less smooth. It is recommended to prepare a smaller trial batch and test the behaviour of the product in the bottle, including the pump’s ability to dispense the content evenly without clogging.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not want to reuse it?

If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend first completely emptying it and removing any remaining content according to the nature of the product used. Then rinse the packaging and separate the individual parts (bottle body, dispenser, cap) according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. Put the plastic parts into the relevant separated waste stream according to local recycling rules. Proper sorting according to material labelling supports effective recycling and reduces the amount of municipal waste.
