The bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or plant ethanol Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. For PET material it is recommended to use mild temperatures of the cleaning solution and to avoid high thermal load, so that deformation of the packaging or an impact on the function of the dispenser does not occur.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of plastic given in the product parameters and by the symbol on the bottom or side of the bottle. Before disposal, it is advisable to empty the bottle as much as possible, optionally rinse out product residues, and sort it into the appropriate container for plastic waste. The dispenser may be made from a combination of several types of plastics, therefore it is usually sorted together with other plastic waste according to local collection rules. Always follow the recommendations of your local sorting and collection company as well.

For PET packaging it is important to avoid exposure to high temperatures, for example during boiling, sterilisation with hot steam or washing in a dishwasher. High temperature can cause softening or deformation of the bottle walls, which can negatively affect the stability of the packaging as well as the sealing of the dispenser. It is recommended to use lukewarm water and gentle cleaning procedures, and not to store the packaging in places with extreme thermal load (for example near heat sources or in direct sunlight behind glass).

Before filling a larger batch of product, it is advisable to carry out your own compatibility test of the packaging with the specific formulation. We recommend testing whether the given viscosity and composition of the preparation allow smooth and even dispensing, whether the mechanism does not clog, and whether the sealing of the dispenser is sufficient even during longer storage. For emulsion and more viscous products it may be necessary to slightly adjust the formulation (for example the viscosity) in order to ensure optimal pump performance.
