Plastic bottle, amber, clear mini trigger sprayer, 100 ml

An amber plastic bottle with a volume of 100 ml and a fitted mini trigger sprayer make up a ready-to-use set for thin liquid preparations that are applied as a spray. Amber PET reduces the amount of light reaching the contents, so it is particularly suitable for facial toners, hydrosols and herbal infusions, whose fragrance and colour change in light. The bottle is lightweight and does not break if dropped, so it also works well in a travel bag or handbag. What the set is suitable for

How to work with the set

The mini trigger sprayer is designed for contents with a viscosity close to that of water. Thick emulsions, pure oils or solutions with undissolved particles spray poorly through the nozzle and will clog it over time. One press dispenses approximately 0.3 ml, which you can use to estimate the number of doses per filling. After fitting the sprayer on a full bottle, press it several times without dispensing until the dip tube and the system are filled and the spray begins to produce a mist.

The bottle is filled to its nominal volume, that is, to 100 ml, which is what it is designed for in normal use. The brimful capacity listed in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between the two is a reserve for the dip tube and the body of the sprayer, which raise the liquid level once screwed on, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Filling to the brim ends in overflow when the closure is fitted.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the sprayer, rinse them with clean water, if needed spray them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and leave them to dry completely. Residual water in the dip tube would dilute the first doses.

The set can be used repeatedly. Once the bottle is empty, pump clean water or alcohol through the sprayer so that no product residues remain in the nozzle.

Both the bottle and the sprayer are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and declarations of conformity are available with the product. The set as a whole is intended for cosmetics. At the end of their life, both parts belong in plastics recycling; separate them from each other before disposal.
