A ready-made set for products applied by spraying: a black PET bottle with a volume of 200 ml and a clear mini trigger sprayer with a 24/410 neck finish. The opaque black wall protects the contents from light, so the set suits toners with plant extracts, hydrosols, hair sprays, alcohol-based preparations sensitive to light and refreshing room sprays. PET is light and does not break when dropped, which you will appreciate for products used in the bathroom, in a handbag or when travelling.

The sprayer has a smooth collar without grooves and a clear body, which stands out in contrast against the glossy black bottle. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Only the bottle has a separate certificate for direct contact with food; the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic and technical products.

How the set works

The mini trigger sprayer draws the contents up through a dip tube from the bottom and releases approximately 0.3 ml of liquid as a fine mist with each press. The dose is constant, so it is easy to estimate consumption for toners, make-up setting sprays or hair tonics. The pump mechanism is designed for low-viscosity liquids: water, hydrosols, alcohol solutions, light water-based serums and thin milk-type emulsions. Thicker creams and gels will not pass through it or will quickly block the nozzle.

The bottle has a standard 24 mm neck. You can find other closures with the same neck type, as well as ready-made packaging and closure combinations, in the Handymade range. If you combine components yourself, we recommend checking the tightness, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation beforehand.

Nominal volume and filling

The bottle is designed to be filled up to the nominal volume of 200 ml. The total volume up to the neck is physically larger. The difference provides room for the dip tube and the sprayer pump, which push part of the liquid upwards once fitted, and for the expansion of the contents with changes in temperature. If you fill the bottle to the brim, the contents will overflow through the neck when you screw the sprayer on.

What it is suitable for

• Facial toners and hydrosols – low-viscosity water-based products pass through the sprayer without problems, and the black bottle protects extracts sensitive to light.
• Hair sprays and hair tonics – leave-in conditioning sprays, alcohol-based hair tonics, sea salt sprays.
• Setting and refreshing face sprays – the constant dose applies an even layer; also suitable for sprays with glycerine or low molecular weight hyaluronic acid.
• Room and fabric sprays – alcohol-based or water-based room sprays and fresheners with a low dose of fragrance composition.
• Disinfectant and technical solutions – for example a solution of ethanol for disinfecting the work surface and tools used in cosmetics making.

Oil-based products are suitable for this set only with reservations. Light dry oils can be sprayed, but the mist is coarser and the nozzle becomes clogged over time. A pump is more suitable for pure oil.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the sprayer, rinse them and disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Rinse the sprayer by immersing the dip tube in clean alcohol and pressing several times, then let it dry completely. The packaging can be reused. After each emptying, rinse the pump mechanism in the same way so that no residues of the previous product remain in it.

You cannot see the liquid level through the black wall, so note down the filled quantity during production. The bottle is not intended for hot filling; let the contents cool to room temperature before pouring.

When you finish using the product, unscrew the sprayer from the bottle, because each part is made of a different plastic. The bottle body is made of PET and the sprayer of PP, and they are sorted separately.
