Product description

The one-litre plastic bottle with a trigger sprayer is a ready-made set for convenient, repeated dispensing of larger quantities of thin liquids. It consists of a transparent round bottle with a nominal volume of 1,000 ml and a black all-plastic trigger sprayer with a matching neck. Suitable for hair and body sprays, tonics and hydrolats in larger packaging, skin-refreshing solutions, as well as technical applications such as cleaning and disinfecting solutions for a workshop or production facility. The transparent wall shows the contents and the remaining level, which is practical for everyday use with a litre-sized container.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics; the declaration of conformity and test certificates are listed with the product.

Key benefits

  • Large volume – a litre bottle reduces the frequency of refilling and is suitable for beauty salons, workshops, and production facilities where the same preparation is used daily.
  • Trigger sprayer – the trigger is operated with the whole hand, spraying is comfortable even with repeated use, and a single press delivers a generous dose.
  • Transparent bottle – you can see the colour, clarity, and fill level of the contents, making it easy to check what remains and to spot any change in the product's appearance.
  • All-plastic construction – a sprayer with no metal parts in contact with the contents can be rinsed and reused.
  • Lightweight and durable – the plastic is light and will not shatter if dropped, which you will appreciate when handling and transporting a litre-sized container.

What the set is suitable for

The trigger sprayer is designed for thin, watery liquids. It works best with hair and body sprays, tonics, hydrolats, refreshing sprays, and solutions for moistening the skin before further treatment. In technical applications it is suitable for workspace cleaning solutions, rinsing moulds and tools, or water with added alcohol for surface disinfection in a production facility.

The sprayer has difficulty drawing up thick liquids, emulsions, milks, and oils with higher viscosity, the spray pattern becomes uneven, and the trigger becomes stiff. We therefore recommend testing the sprayer's behaviour with your specific formulation before filling the entire litre bottle.

Before filling the entire litre bottle, test the sprayer with a small amount of the preparation. Check the spray pattern, the seal, and whether the contents settle in the dip tube over time and clog the nozzle.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is intended for under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is always slightly larger. The difference provides clearance for the dip tube and sprayer mechanism, which displace some space once screwed on, and also allows for expansion of the contents with changes in temperature. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim; otherwise the contents will be forced out through the neck during closing and the sprayer may not seal properly.

Useful things to know

Before first use, wash both the bottle and the sprayer, rinse with clean water, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol if needed, and allow to dry completely. Residual water in the dip tube could dilute the first doses of the preparation.

If the dip tube is longer than the height of the bottle, trim it with a clean cut at a slight angle so that it reaches just above the bottom. The angled cut prevents the end of the tube from suctioning onto the base, which would cause the sprayer to draw in air.

The set is intended for aqueous solutions and common cosmetic sprays including alcohol-based ones. With contents containing a higher proportion of essential oils, alcohol, or organic solvents, first test compatibility with a small quantity: concentrated substances may soften or discolour the plastic over time, and the transparent wall may become cloudy.

The transparent container does not protect the contents from light. Preparations sensitive to light, such as those with a higher proportion of essential oils or botanical extracts, should be stored away from direct sunlight or packed in a dark container.

Closures and sprayers with the same neck type, as well as ready-made container and closure combinations, are available in the Handymade range. For custom combinations we recommend verifying the seal and dosing with your specific formulation. Both the bottle and the sprayer are made of plastic and, once emptied and rinsed, should be placed in the sorted plastics waste stream.

The set as a whole is not approved for contact with food. A food-contact certificate applies to the bottle only when sold separately; when used with the trigger sprayer, use the set exclusively for cosmetic and technical preparations.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 1,000 ml plastic bottle with trigger sprayer suitable for both aqueous and alcohol-based preparations?
Yes, the set is suitable for aqueous solutions, hydrolats, and alcohol-based sprays. It is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics, so it can be used for tonics, refreshing sprays, and surface disinfecting solutions. With a very high alcohol content or preparations containing solvents, we recommend testing the behaviour of the plastic with a small quantity first.
Can the trigger sprayer be used to spray oil or a thick emulsion?
No, the trigger sprayer is designed for thin, watery liquids. It has difficulty drawing up oils, milks, and thick emulsions, the trigger becomes stiff, and the spray pattern is uneven or the nozzle becomes blocked. For oily and thicker preparations, a bottle with a pump dispenser or another closure with the same neck is more suitable.
How do I prepare and reuse the bottle with the trigger sprayer?
Before the first fill, wash and rinse the container and allow it to dry completely, or disinfect it with alcohol. For repeated use, unscrew the sprayer from the bottle, rinse the dip tube and nozzle with clean water, and allow to dry so that residues of the previous preparation do not affect the new contents. The all-plastic construction is easy to clean.
Does the transparent plastic bottle protect the contents from light?
No, the transparent bottle does not block light. The advantage is that you can see the colour and the remaining fill level, but preparations sensitive to light are best stored in the shade or in a cabinet. For formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils or botanical extracts, consider a dark container if they will be standing in the light for an extended period.
Is the 1,000 ml bottle and trigger sprayer set suitable for food use?
No, the set as a whole is not approved for contact with food. The food-contact declaration applies only to the bottle sold separately; the trigger sprayer does not carry this declaration. The set is therefore intended for cosmetic preparations, for which it holds a suitability declaration, and for technical use such as cleaning solutions.
