Product description
The white plastic bottle with a volume of 300 ml and a white mini trigger sprayer forms a ready-made set for thin, water-like products that are applied by spraying: face and hair toners, hydrosols, refreshing body sprays, hairstyling solutions or working sprays used in production. The bottle is made of PET, is lightweight and does not break when dropped, which you will appreciate in the bathroom, in the salon and in a travel bag. The white opaque wall reduces the light reaching the contents and also hides the colour of the filling and any cloudiness, so the product looks the same on the shelf regardless of the shade of the formulation.
The sprayer with a 24/410 neck finish has a smooth white collar that blends with the bottle in colour. One press releases approximately 0.2 ml of the contents, so toners and hydrosols are dispensed in small portions without spilling. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products.
What it is suitable for
- Toners and hydrosols – thin water-based solutions are sprayed evenly, and a small dose is enough to refresh the skin or set make-up.
- Hair sprays – leave-in sprays for detangling, heat protection or refreshing the fragrance of the hair, where the contents are applied to the lengths from a distance.
- Body and room sprays – refreshers on a water-alcohol base and fragrance sprays for textiles. A larger volume means a longer-lasting bottle.
- Working solutions – water or alcohol for spraying soap to prevent soda ash, and solutions for cleaning moulds and the work surface.
Filling and dispensing
The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for during normal filling. The brimful volume is larger, because it is measured up to the neck. The difference between them provides a reserve for the dip tube and the sprayer mechanism and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Therefore, fill the bottle up to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the contents will be pushed out through the neck when you screw on the sprayer.
The dip tube of the sprayer is longer than the bottle. Before fitting it for the first time, shorten it with a diagonal cut so that it reaches just above the bottom of the bottle and does not kink. Then press the trigger several times without any liquid coming out until the system is primed and starts to spray continuously.
The mini trigger sprayer is built for thin liquids. The thicker the contents, the worse they spray: a stream forms rather than a mist, and the mechanism clogs more quickly. Test gel toners, serums and oils on a small sample before filling. Products with undissolved particles, for example with scrub particles or plant residues, do not belong in a sprayer.
Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. It is enough to rinse the sprayer with clean water and spray it through, so that no water is left in the tube to dilute the first filling.
Good to know
Only the bottle has a certificate for direct food contact. The sprayer does not have one, so the set as a whole is not approved for food use and is intended for cosmetics.
PET deforms at higher temperatures. Do not fill the bottle with hot product and do not heat the bottle. Let emulsions and solutions cool to room temperature before filling. Concentrated essential oils, pure solvents and products with a high alcohol content may damage the plastic over time or soften the seal of the sprayer. For such formulations, we recommend filling one bottle first and observing how the packaging behaves with your specific formulation.
The bottle withstands repeated use. After emptying, wash it with warm water and a cleaning agent, disinfect it and dry it in the same way as before the first filling. When changing the filling, rinse the sprayer with clean water and spray it through, so that residues of the previous formulation do not mix with the new one. If the dose weakens or the sprayer sprays unevenly, the cause is usually dried residue of the contents in the nozzle. Rinsing with warm water will help.
You will find closures with the same 24/410 neck finish and other ready-made bottle and closure combinations in the Handymade range. If you make your own combination, we recommend checking the seal and dispensing.
The bottle is made of PET and the sprayer of PP. Before recycling, separate the two parts and dispose of them separately as plastic.
