Combining with closures and dispensers

The plastic bottle is designed as a cosmetic container with a specific neck type that makes it possible to combine it with several types of functional closures. It is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the packaging works reliably with your specific product.

Important notice regarding PET material: when working with this type of plastic, avoid long-term exposure to high temperatures in order to prevent unwanted deformation of the bottle. The packaging is not suitable for dishwashing or for boiling – during cleaning, prefer gentle but effective procedures according to the nature of the filling.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

How should I correctly clean this plastic bottle before first use and when refilling it?

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each filling, we recommend first rinsing the bottle mechanically, then thoroughly cleaning it with a suitable washing agent, rinsing with clean water and drying. After that, the packaging must be disinfected – you can use alcohol-based products, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find on Handymade. For example, the range includes IPA 99 % – isopropyl alkohol and Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After applying the disinfectant, allow the packaging to air out thoroughly and dry so that no alcohol residues remain inside, which could affect your final products.

Is the plastic packaging suitable for hot or freshly cooked products?

For packaging made from PET material it is not suitable to fill them with hot or freshly cooked mixtures. High temperature can lead to softening and gradual deformation of the plastic, which will negatively affect the shape, stability and sealing of the cap. We recommend filling only completely cooled or room-temperature formulations. For the same reason, the packaging is not suitable for boiling or for dishwashing, where higher temperatures and intensive programmes are commonly used. For cleaning and disinfection, give preference to gentler manual procedures with a suitable alcohol-based disinfectant.

How can I safely recycle this bottle if I no longer want to use it repeatedly?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in the appropriate separated waste stream according to the material marking given in the product parameters. In the parameter table for the specific bottle, you will find the type of plastic and the corresponding recycling symbol, on the basis of which you can correctly dispose of it in the container intended for that specific type of plastic waste. Before recycling, empty the packaging, if necessary rinse out product residues, and where possible separate the different material parts (for example the plastic body and any closure of a different type). By recycling, you support the reprocessing of the used material and reduce the amount of waste.

Is this bottle suitable for more viscous products, or only for thin liquids?

The bottle with Disc Top cap is primarily intended for low- to medium-viscosity liquids that can be easily dispensed by gently squeezing the walls or tilting the container. For common toners, facial waters, water-based serums or light oil blends, this type of packaging is very practical. For significantly thick creamy formulations or gels, dispensing through the Disc Top may be less comfortable, so in such cases it is advisable to consider another type of container, for example a jar, pot or bottle with a pump. Before final stocking, we recommend trying a small test filling and verifying the dosing comfort with your specific formula.
