White Glass Bottle, Black Tamper Evident Dropper, 100 ml

The white glass medicine bottle with a black matte dropper is intended for cosmetics that are dispensed by the drop: oil serums, face and hair oils, tinctures and fragrance blends. White glass hides the contents and lets less light through to them than clear glass does, which you will appreciate with oils and extracts that are harmed by light. The 100 ml volume is enough even for a larger pack, such as a body oil, massage blend or hair oil, where a 30 ml bottle would be too small. How the set works

The bottle has a medicine bottle shape with a narrow neck and straight walls, so it stands stably and is easy to hold when dispensing with one hand. The dropper consists of a glass tube, a silicone bulb and a black matte plastic cap with a tamper-evident ring. When the liquid is drawn up, it touches glass, not plastic. The length of the tube matches the height of the bottle, so it reaches almost to the bottom and the contents can be used up without tilting the bottle.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is intended for in normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck and you will find it in the parameters. The difference between them leaves room for the dropper tube, which pushes the liquid level up once screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

What it is suitable for

• Oil serums and face oils – the dropper dispenses precisely, the contents do not need to be poured out and the white glass shields them from light.
• Hair and body oils – the 100 ml volume lasts for daily use without frequent refilling.
• Tinctures and alcohol extracts – glass resists alcohol and drop-by-drop dispensing is usual for this type of contents.
• Essential oil blends and fragrance oils – with concentrated blends, check beforehand how they tolerate the silicone bulb and the plastic parts of the closure; in normal use the contents touch them only marginally.
• Toners and water-based active blends – the dropper also works with water-based contents, but preservation has to be handled by the formulation, because the packaging alone does not stop microorganisms.

Good to know

Glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes. Let hot oils or freshly brewed extracts cool to room temperature before filling. Likewise, do not wash a cold bottle with boiling water.

The dropper can be taken apart into the tube, the bulb and the cap, and reused after washing and drying. When changing the contents, especially after essential oils, bear in mind that the silicone bulb may retain the smell of the previous filling.
