Product description

Glass bottle, vial, white with a white glossy dropper is a complete set for 15 ml of liquid content dispensed by drops. The white opaque glass reduces light exposure to the contents, making it particularly suitable for facial oils, serums and active ingredient concentrates that lose efficacy through light and oxidation. The dropper allows precise dispensing: a few drops can be applied directly to the skin or measured into a formulation without spilling. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics; a declaration of conformity and certificate are included with the product.

What the set is suitable for

  • Facial and hair oils – vegetable oils and their blends with essential oils, where light protection and drop-by-drop dispensing matter.
  • Serums and concentrates – oil-based and water-based serums in small volumes, applied in small amounts and used up quickly.
  • Essential oil blends and tinctures – glass does not react with alcohol or concentrated fragrances, and the dropper lets you measure an exact number of drops into a diffuser, bath or formulation.
  • Samples and test batches – the small volume is practical for testing a new formulation, gift packaging and travel.

How to use the dropper

The dropper consists of a glass tube, a white glossy plastic screw ring and a silicone squeeze bulb. The tube length is matched to the bottle height so it reaches nearly to the bottom, allowing the contents to be used up without tilting. Squeezing the silicone bulb expels the air; when released, the tube fills with liquid, and after removing from the bottle the contents are dispensed drop by drop with light pressure.

The liquid should stay only in the glass tube. If it is drawn up into the silicone part, it is harder to clean out, and with oils and essential oils it can gradually build up there. Simply squeeze the dropper gently and do not draw up more at once than the tube can hold.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for under normal filling. Total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference is a reserve for the dropper tube, which pushes some of the contents upward when screwed in, and for liquid expansion when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Contents above this level would leak through the thread when the dropper is screwed in. Both figures are listed in the product parameters.

With oils and alcohol-based blends, fill the bottle at room temperature and screw in the dropper slowly so the displaced air has somewhere to escape. This way the contents will not get into the thread and the closure will remain clean and tight.

Preparation, cleaning and reuse

Before first use, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave it upside down to dry completely. The dropper is cleaned disassembled: rinse and disinfect the glass tube and screw ring, rinse the silicone part with clean water and leave to dry before reassembling. Residual water in the dropper would cause cloudiness and reduced stability in an oil-based serum.

The glass bottle can be reused. Before each refill, check that the silicone part of the dropper retains its elasticity and that the tube is not cracked. Glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes: do not pour a hot phase into a cold bottle; let the contents cool first. The smooth cylindrical surface of the vial labels well.

The set is intended for cosmetic use. It is not declared for contact with food, so it is not suitable for food oils, syrups or dietary supplements.

The bottle and dropper have a mutually compatible neck type listed in the parameters; further closures for this neck and ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing behaviour and packaging performance with the specific formulation.

The glass bottle is recycled as glass. The dropper combines glass, silicone and plastic, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.

Frequently asked questions

Does the white glass vial protect the contents from light?
Yes, white glass is opaque and reduces light exposure to the contents. Light-sensitive ingredients such as vegetable oils, vitamins or essential oils are therefore better protected than in a clear bottle. The contents are not visible, so the fill level is best checked by weight or by how much the dropper draws up.
How much does the 15 ml vial actually hold?
It is filled to the nominal volume of 15 ml, although physically the bottle holds slightly more. The headspace above the nominal volume is needed for the dropper tube, which pushes some contents upward when screwed in, and for liquid expansion when the temperature changes. If filled to the brim, the contents would overflow through the thread and contaminate the closure.
Is the glass vial with dropper suitable for essential oils?
Yes, the set is suitable for essential oils and their blends. Glass does not react with concentrated fragrances, and the dropper lets you measure an exact number of drops into a diffuser or formulation. Squeeze the dropper gently so the oil stays in the glass tube and does not enter the silicone part, where it settles and is harder to clean.
How to clean the glass vial and dropper before reuse?
Wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave it upside down to dry. Disassemble the dropper, disinfect the tube and ring, rinse the silicone part with water and leave to dry completely before reassembling. Also check that the silicone retains its elasticity and the tube is not cracked; any water left in the dropper will cause cloudiness in oil-based contents.
Can the set be used for water-based serums or tinctures?
Yes, both the glass and the dropper are compatible with water-based, alcohol-based and oil-based contents. With water-based serums, keep in mind that the dropper comes into contact with the skin and air each time it is used, so the formulation must be properly preserved. Alcohol-based tinctures are dispensed drop by drop without any effect on the glass or the thread.
