The plastic container is not intended for filling with hot or freshly cooked mixtures. It is recommended to fill only after the contents have cooled down to room temperature, in order to preserve the shape of the bottle, the functionality of the closure and the stability of the material. If warm filling is required, we recommend checking the suitability of the specific material in the product parameters and carrying out a trial filling with a smaller quantity.

The container can be reused provided that strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. We also recommend reusing it always for a similar type of contents (e.g. only cosmetic aqueous solutions) to minimise the risk of undesirable interaction between residues of the original product and the new formulation.

After emptying the container, we recommend first mechanically rinsing it with warm water and a suitable mild cleaning agent, followed by thorough rinsing so that no detergent residues remain inside. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface and the closure with an alcohol-based product, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated should you refill the bottle, in order to maintain the stability of your formulation.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend emptying it as much as possible before disposal and, if possible, rinsing it so that no product residues remain. Then sort the packaging according to the type of plastic stated in the parameter table at the product on the Handymade.sk website – it usually belongs in the separate collection of plastics. The cap and the bottle may be made of different materials, so it is advisable to separate them before sorting. Respect the local waste-sorting rules in your municipality so that recycling is as effective as possible.

As a general rule, we do not recommend washing the plastic container in a dishwasher or exposing it to prolonged high temperatures or boiling, because this may lead to deformation of the shape, deterioration of the closure tightness or changes in the material properties. For cleaning, choose hand-washing in lukewarm water and disinfection with a suitable alcohol-based product. In this way, the bottle will retain its original appearance and functionality for longer.
