FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to use this plastic bottle repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed, especially for home cosmetic manufacture or for preparing test samples. However, before each refilling it is necessary to clean the bottle thoroughly and disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in a quality intended for cleaning packaging. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Only after it is completely dry is the packaging ready for refilling.

How should I properly clean and prepare the bottle before first use?

Before first use, we recommend mechanically cleaning the packaging from dust and then rinsing it with suitable clean water or, if needed, with a mild cleansing solution that is compatible with the packaging material and with the intended formulation. After rinsing, it is suitable to disinfect the inner surface and the cap with a cleansing alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, and allow them to dry thoroughly at room temperature. Only then fill the packaging with the final product.

Is the plastic packaging suitable for contact with hot or very warm products?

Plastic packaging of this type is not intended for long-term contact with very hot or freshly cooked formulations. When exposed to high temperatures, the shape stability may decrease and softening or local deformation of the packaging may occur, which can negatively affect cap sealing and the overall functionality of the bottle. We therefore recommend filling only formulations that have cooled down to room temperature, or to the temperature recommended in the technical documentation of your recipe.

Is it possible to wash the bottle in a dishwasher or boil it for sterilization purposes?

This type of plastic packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling at high temperatures. Such stress may lead to deformation, loss of tightness or deterioration of the appearance of the packaging surface. For hygienic preparation, we recommend a combination of mechanical cleaning, rinsing and disinfection using alcohol-based solutions such as isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant-based ethanol, without the use of high temperatures.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle this packaging after use?

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The material type and the recommended recycling method can be found in the parameter table for the product, so that you can assign it correctly to the appropriate sorting container (for example plastic packaging). Before handing it over to sorted collection, it is advisable to empty the bottle, optionally rinse off any product residues and separate the cap if it is made from a different material. In this way, you will support more efficient processing and reuse of raw materials.
