Aluminium Bottle, White Pump, 100 ml

The aluminium bottle with a white pump is a ready-made set for dispensing liquid and medium-thick cosmetic products that you want to protect from light and dispense in equal doses. Aluminium blocks light completely; the bottle is lightweight and does not break when dropped. One press of the pump dispenses approximately 1 ml; you do not touch the contents with your hands, and the bottle stays closed between uses.

A volume of 100 ml matches the usual pack size of face or body lotion, cleansing gel, liquid soap or massage oil. The bottle and the pump have the same neck type and are supplied together, so there is nothing to match up. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics.

What it is suitable for

• Face and body lotions – a thinner emulsion passes through the pump tube without resistance, and one dose corresponds to the amount needed for the face or hands.
• Cleansing gels and liquid soaps – dispensing with one hand is an advantage in the bathroom, and the contents also stay covered.
• Oils and oil serums – light speeds up the oxidation of vegetable oils, and an opaque bottle rules out this effect.
• Travel packs – 100 ml matches the limit for liquids in hand luggage, and an aluminium bottle will not break in your bag.

Filling and dispensing

You will find two volumes on the page. The nominal volume is the volume the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck, and we state it in the parameters. The difference between them is a reserve for the pump tube, which takes up part of the space, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

The pump tube is longer than the bottle. Shorten it before screwing it on so that it ends just above the bottom. After screwing the pump on, you need to press the head several times until the product is drawn up through the tube. The first doses are often incomplete, which is normal. When decanting from a larger container, a funnel with a narrower neck helps, and for thicker emulsions a syringe without a needle.

Good to know

• Preparation before first filling – wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Rinse the pump and make sure no water remains in the tube.
• Compatibility with the contents – we do not have information on the inner treatment of the bottle. We therefore recommend checking how aluminium behaves with water-based, acidic or strongly alkaline formulations by running a stability test directly in the packaging, especially for longer storage.
• Polypropylene pump – it is resistant to common cosmetic raw materials. If the formulation contains a higher proportion of essential oils or solvents, check that the seal and the tube do not soften.
• Fill with cooled product – emulsions and gels go into the bottle only after they have cooled completely and finished thickening. Otherwise the volume changes as it cools and the pump may draw in air.
• Contact with food – the plastic pump on its own has a certificate for direct contact with food. The set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.
• Reuse – after thorough washing and disinfection, you can fill the bottle again. The pump is harder to clean, so a new one is safer when you switch to a different type of product.
• Recycling – the aluminium bottle and the polypropylene pump belong to different waste streams, so separate them before disposal.
