Product description
Aluminium bottle with white pump, 50 ml is a ready-made dispensing set for small packs of liquid and creamy cosmetic products. Aluminium does not let light through, so it protects the contents from light better than clear glass or clear plastic. The bottle is also lightweight and unbreakable. The white pump with a 24/410 neck finish dispenses the contents without unscrewing and without fingers touching the inside of the bottle. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics.
Suitable uses
The pump dispenses approximately 1 ml per press, which corresponds to a usual dose for the hands or face. The 50 ml volume and hygienic dispensing suit mainly:
- Liquid and light emulsions – lotions, fluids and lighter creams for the face or hands.
- Serums and gels – water-based and hydrogel textures with lower viscosity.
- Oil blends – facial and massage oils in travel or sample packs.
- Liquid soaps and cleansing gels – a small pack for travel or for the guest bathroom.
With thicker creams or butters, the pump may not draw up the contents. We recommend checking suitability with your specific texture on a test batch.
Volume and filling
The nominal volume of the bottle is 50 ml. This is the amount of product the packaging is designed to hold under normal filling. The brimful capacity given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the dip tube and the pump body, which displace part of the contents once screwed on, and for the expansion of the product with temperature changes. You should therefore fill only up to the nominal volume, never to the brim.
The dip tube of the pump is longer than the bottle. Before first use, shorten it with a sharp knife so that it ends just above the bottom. The pump will then draw up the contents right to the end and the dip tube will not kink.
Good to know
Before first filling, wash the bottle and the pump, disinfect the inside with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. The same applies when reusing it. Before each further filling, rinse the pump several times with clean water and let it drain.
The aluminium wall is thin and may dent if dropped or squeezed hard. This usually does not affect the contents, but it does affect the appearance of the packaging. For water-based, alcohol-based or distinctly acidic or alkaline formulations, we recommend a stability test: leave the filled bottle to stand for several weeks and monitor the fragrance, colour and condition of the inner surface.
Only the pump has a separate certificate for direct food contact. The aluminium bottle does not have one, so the set as a whole is not intended for food and is used exclusively for cosmetics.
The pump is made of polypropylene (PP). For products with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend checking whether the seal or the piston action changes after prolonged storage.
Closures with the same 24/410 neck finish and other ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. If you combine the bottle with a different closure, check the seal, the dispensing and the behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.
After use, the aluminium bottle belongs in metal recycling and the pump in plastics recycling. Separate them from each other before disposal.
