However, before each new filling it is essential to thoroughly clean and disinfect both the bottle and the spray pump in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in cosmetic grade. The spray pump should be cleaned gently and carefully to avoid mechanical damage or clogging of the nozzle. It is recommended to empty the bottle, rinse the interior with lukewarm water and then use a small amount of a suitable cleaning or disinfecting solution. Pump this solution through the spray pump so that the inner capillary and nozzle are also flushed. After disinfection, it is important to rinse the system once more with clean water and allow all parts to dry completely. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents that could damage the plastic or sealing components.

The bottle with spray pump is intended primarily for aqueous or water-alcohol solutions with lower viscosity. A moderate alcohol content is usually acceptable, but it is always necessary to carry out your own compatibility test – verify whether the material of the bottle and the seals in the spray pump remain stable, do not deform and do not change their properties even in long-term contact with the given product. For preparations with a higher proportion of oil phase, deterioration of spraying (dripping, uneven spray) or faster wear of the mechanism may occur. If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend first thoroughly emptying and cleaning it so that no product residues remain inside. Subsequent recycling depends on the type of plastic material specified in the product parameters (recycling mark on the packaging and information in the parameter table on the product page). According to this information, you will place the bottle into the appropriate sorted waste stream – usually into the container for plastics, or according to the collection system rules in your city. It is advisable to separate the spray pump and small plastic components before disposal, if possible, so that the sorting process is more efficient.
