Blue Glass Bottle, Golden White Dropper, 5 ml

The blue glass medicine bottle with a white and gold dropper dispenses liquid preparations drop by drop, while the blue glass reduces the amount of light reaching the contents. The 5 ml volume is enough for essential oil blends, concentrated facial serums, oil-based perfumes, samples and testers – in other words, contents you want to protect from light and use in small amounts.

The set is supplied as a ready-made, matching pair of bottle and dropper. It is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products; it is not approved for contact with food.

What it is suitable for

The set is intended for liquid, free-flowing contents dispensed drop by drop. The most common are essential oil blends for aromatherapy or for a diffuser, oil serums for the face, beard and cuticles, oil-based perfumes, tinctures and alcohol extracts, small amounts of water-based active ingredients, or samples of your own products for customers.

The dropper will not draw up thick and viscous preparations, so the set is not suitable for creams and gels. For such contents we recommend a jar or a bottle with a different type of closure.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference is a reserve for the dropper, which dips into the contents once it is screwed on. Therefore fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If it is overfilled, the contents will overflow through the neck when the dropper is fitted.

Good to know

Before first use, wash the bottle and the dropper, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely. Residual water in the glass tube could contaminate anhydrous oil contents.

The dropper combines glass, silicone, aluminium and plastic. The glass tube is resistant to essential oils and alcohol. With concentrated essential oils and solvents, we recommend checking from time to time whether the dropper head softens or changes shape after prolonged contact.

Glass is sensitive to sudden changes in temperature. Do not pour hot liquid into the medicine bottle and do not move it straight from freezing temperatures into a warm room. Let contents warmer than room temperature cool down before filling.

When reusing the packaging, wash and disinfect it thoroughly, especially if you want to fill it with a different kind of contents. Residues of essential oil are harder to remove from the dropper head, so for new contents with a different fragrance it is better to use a new dropper. When you have finished using it, the bottle belongs in the glass recycling. The dropper is a combination of glass, metal, silicone and plastic, so where possible separate its parts by material before disposal.
