Blue Plastic Bottle, 24/410, Black Mat Plastic Cap, 250 ml

A blue plastic bottle with a matte black cap is used for filling liquid cosmetic products that are dispensed by pouring or decanting: massage and body oils, hydrosols, facial toners, micellar waters and shower oils. The 250 ml volume is enough for ordinary home production as well as for smaller batches that are sold or given away.

The bottle body is made of PET, so it is lightweight and, unlike glass, does not break when dropped. The polypropylene cap with a 24/410 neck finish has a matte black surface. The whole set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics, and both the bottle and the cap are made in the European Union.

What the set is suitable for

• Oil-based products – massage oils, shower oils, body oil serum. When pouring from the 24/410 neck, the dose is easy to control.
• Hydrosols and toners – for storing a larger quantity, which is gradually decanted into a smaller bottle with a sprayer.
• Storage and working bottles – dissolved salts, a prepared water phase, a finished base for further dilution.
• Finished products for sale – a blue bottle with a matte black cap looks cohesive even without further modifications.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total volume up to the neck is larger. The difference between them forms a reserve for the cap or pump and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal 250 ml, not to the brim. When an overfilled bottle is closed, the contents are forced into the thread and the cap does not seal.

What to know when filling

Before first use, wash the bottle and the cap, disinfect them with alcohol or IPA and leave them to dry completely. Residual water in the neck or in the thread would get into an anhydrous product.

PET is not intended for hot filling. Let emulsions and water phases cool to room temperature, otherwise the bottle wall may deform. The material is also not intended for aggressive chemicals. For undiluted essential oils, higher concentrations of alcohol and solvents, we recommend testing the behaviour of the bottle on a small quantity beforehand.

After washing and disinfection, the bottle can be refilled repeatedly. When switching from an oil-based to a water-based product, make sure to degrease it thoroughly. At the end of its life, the PET body belongs in sorted plastic waste, and so does the PP cap.
