Product description
A ready-made bottle and pump dispenser set for liquid soap, shower gel or shampoo: fill it, attach the pump, and dispense with one hand. The transparent PET bottle is lightweight and break-resistant, and through its wall you can see how much contents remain. The white-silver pump with a 24/410 neck thread fits onto the bottle neck and delivers a measured dose with each press, so the contents don't spill or come into unnecessary contact with hands.
The set is particularly suitable for liquid soaps, shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions and lighter creams that the pump can draw up. The 500 ml volume is practical for home, bathroom or cosmetic studio use, where the product is used frequently.
Why choose this set
- Dispensing without spills – the pump delivers approximately 1 ml with each press, making it easy to use thicker products economically.
- Transparent wall – both the customer and the producer can see the colour and quantity of the contents, which is useful with coloured gels or when monitoring consumption.
- Lightweight and durable packaging – PET doesn't crack when dropped in the bathroom and doesn't add unnecessary weight to shipments, which is an advantage when sending larger volumes.
- Refillable – both the bottle and the pump can be reused after washing, provided the thread or pump valve has not been damaged.
- Standard 24/410 neck – this is a widely used size, so the bottle can be combined with other closures of the same type if needed.
How the dispenser works
The dispenser combines plastic and aluminium and has a dip tube that reaches the bottom of the bottle. On first use, it needs to be pressed several times until the tube is primed and the product reaches the outlet.
The dispenser works best with liquid to medium-viscosity contents. Thin liquids such as tonics or hydrolats can be dispensed, but a spray pump is usually more suitable for these. Thicker creams, butters and products with coarser particles (granular scrubs) may clog the dispenser or prevent a full dose from being delivered.
Before filling a larger quantity, fill one bottle as a test and check that the dispenser draws up the finished product smoothly. The consistency of the dose depends on viscosity, oil content and any particles in the formulation.
Nominal and total volume
The nominal volume is the volume for which the bottle is designed under normal filling conditions, and this is the quantity stated on the label. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between them provides a reserve for the pump and its dip tube, for the air layer above the contents, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling may cause the contents to overflow through the neck when the pump is attached, and the seal of the thread will deteriorate.
What is good to know
Contact with cosmetics and food. The declaration of suitability for contact with cosmetic products applies to the bottle alone, supported by technical documentation and a declaration of conformity. No such declaration is available for the pump, so we recommend testing its behaviour with the specific formulation (leakage, change in colour or scent after storage). The set is not approved for contact with food and is not intended for food use.
Preparation before first filling. We recommend washing both the bottle and the pump before use, disinfecting with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allowing them to dry completely. The pump should be rinsed with clean water and pressed several times without any contents to remove any manufacturing residues.
Material sensitivity. PET is not suitable for filling hot contents. Allow emulsions and gels to cool to approximately room temperature before filling, otherwise the bottle wall may deform. For products with a high proportion of essential oils, fragrance compositions or alcohol, we recommend a brief compatibility test: store for a few days and check whether the bottle wall has become cloudy and whether the pump still seals. The transparent bottle does not protect the contents from light, so for light-sensitive ingredients (some vegetable oils, vitamins, natural colorants) store the packaging away from direct sunlight or consider a dark variant.
Never pour hot phases directly from the pot into the PET bottle. Heat deforms the bottle and can damage the thread, causing the pump to leak.
Labelling and reuse. The straight cylindrical shape of the bottle makes it easy to apply a label; dimensions suitable for a label can be found in the product specifications. When refilling, check that the pump valve still draws up after washing and that the dip tube has not kinked.
Recycling. The bottle is made of PET, which is among the most recyclable plastics. The pump combines plastic and aluminium, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.
Custom combinations. Closures with the same neck type and other ready-made bottle and closure combinations are available in the Handymade range. For custom combinations, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing performance and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.
