Product description

Clear plastic bottle with black-silver pump dispenser, 500 ml

Ready-to-use bottle and dispenser set for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic preparations used repeatedly and in small amounts. The clear PET bottle is lightweight and shatter-resistant, making it suitable for the bathroom, shower or sink where glass would be a hazard. The dispenser in a black-silver finish releases exactly as much product as needed, without opening the bottle and without finger contact with the preparation.

With a volume of 500 ml, the set is intended primarily for everyday use products: liquid soaps, shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, massage and body oils or facial cleansing emulsions. It is also suitable for filling larger quantities at once, when you need to quickly check the level in each bottle.

Key benefits

  • Hygienic dispensing – the product is dispensed by pressing the pump head, the bottle remains closed and the preparation does not come into contact with fingers as it does when opening a cap.
  • Controlled dosage – one press releases approximately 1 ml of product, which is sufficient for washing hands or a dose of shampoo and reduces product consumption.
  • Lightweight and durable packaging – PET does not shatter when dropped, is significantly lighter than glass and reduces shipping and packaging costs.
  • Visible contents – the clear wall shows the colour, clarity and fill level, so you can see when refilling is approaching or whether anything has changed in the preparation.
  • Verified for cosmetics – both the bottle and dispenser are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products; a declaration of conformity and technical documentation are included with the product.

How the set works

The dispenser screws onto the bottle neck and the long dip tube reaches all the way to the bottom, so the remaining contents can be fully used. On first use, the pump head needs to be pressed several times until the tube and mechanism prime and the product starts to flow. After that, the dose with each press is approximately the same, which is particularly useful for products where economical application matters.

The dispenser is designed for liquid and medium-viscosity preparations — gels, lotions, light creamy emulsions and oils. Very thick creams, balms or products with larger particles (exfoliating granules, herb pieces) clog the mechanism or will not pass through it. For such products, a jar or pot is more suitable.

If you are preparing a thicker emulsion intended for this set, test the dispensing on a small sample before filling the entire batch. The dispenser can only handle viscosity up to a certain limit and it is easier to adjust the formulation than to transfer a finished product.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed to hold during normal filling. Total brim volume is the physical capacity up to the neck and is always slightly larger. The difference between them is a reserve for the dispenser with its dip tube, which takes up some space once screwed on, and for the expansion of contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the product will overflow when the dispenser is attached.

Good to know

Before first filling, we recommend washing the bottle and dispenser, disinfecting them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leaving them to dry completely. The set can be used repeatedly; when changing the contents, however, always flush the mechanism with water and allow it to dry, otherwise residues of the old preparation will mix with the new one.

PET tolerates water-based preparations, emulsions, surfactant products and common plant oils well. However, do not expose it to undiluted essential oils, strong solvents or preparations with a high alcohol content in prolonged contact. For such formulations, we recommend testing the packaging behaviour on a sample over several weeks. The bottle is not suitable for hot filling; allow a heated emulsion to cool before filling.

The clear wall does not protect the contents from light. Store light-sensitive preparations away from direct sunlight or choose a dark-coloured packaging for them.

Neither the bottle nor the dispenser carry a food-contact certification. The set is intended for cosmetic preparations and is not used for oils, syrups or other food products.

The PET bottle is commonly recyclable; the dispenser combines plastic and metal and is separated from the bottle before disposal. If you want a different closure for the bottle, look for closures with the same neck type listed in the specifications. Ready-made bottle + closure combinations are available in the Handymade range; for a custom combination, we recommend testing the seal and dispensing performance with the specific formulation.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 500 ml plastic bottle with dispenser suitable for liquid soap and shower gel?
Yes, liquid soaps, shower gels and shampoos are typical uses for this set. The dispenser handles the standard viscosity of surfactant products and a dose of approximately 1 ml per press corresponds to one hand wash. Very thick gels with a high proportion of thickener may slow the dispensing; we recommend testing on a sample.
Can body or massage oil be dispensed through the 24/410 dispenser?
Yes, plant oils and oil blends of standard viscosity pass through the dispenser without problems and PET is compatible with them. The exception is undiluted essential oils and blends with a high proportion of them, which may damage the plastic over time. In that case, glass packaging is more suitable.
Why is the bottle filled only to the nominal volume and not to the brim?
Because the dispenser with its dip tube takes up part of the space inside the bottle once screwed on, and the contents need room to expand with temperature changes. If you fill the bottle to the neck, the product will overflow when fitting the dispenser. The nominal volume is the amount the packaging works with safely.
Does the clear PET bottle protect the contents from light?
No, the transparent material lets light through. For preparations containing unsaturated oils, vitamins or coloured extracts that degrade in light, we recommend storing the bottle away from direct sunlight or choosing a dark-coloured packaging. For surfactant products, standard lotions and gels the transparency causes no problem and additionally shows the fill level.
How to clean the dispenser when reusing the bottle?
Unscrew the dispenser, submerge the tube in warm water with a little washing-up liquid and pump it through several times, then pump clean water through in the same way and allow the mechanism to dry. Wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry. Only then fill the new preparation, so that residues of the old contents do not mix with the new one.
