Clear plastic bottle with disc top cap, 150 ml

A clear PET bottle with a nominal volume of 150 ml and a disc top cap in a matte rose-gold finish with a white centre form a complete bottle and closure set. It is designed for liquid to medium-viscosity cosmetic products dispensed by gently squeezing the bottle – shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, liquid soaps, body lotions, micellar waters and tonics. Both the bottle and the cap share the same 24/410 neck finish, so they fit together precisely with no need to mix and match.

The clear bottle body reveals the colour and consistency of the contents, which is useful for tinted gels or products where you want to monitor the remaining amount. PET is lightweight and shatterproof, making the set a practical choice for the shower, travel and small-batch cosmetic production. The matte rose-gold cap gives the packaging a cohesive look without the need for additional decoration.

How the set works

• Disc top cap – opened by pressing one edge of the disc; the opposite edge lifts and releases the dispensing opening. After use, the disc is pushed back down and the opening closes. Single-hand operation is particularly convenient with gel and lotion products.
• Squeeze dispensing – product flows when the bottle is tilted and gently squeezed. For liquid contents, tilting alone is sufficient; thicker products require more pressure. Very dense creams and butters will not pass through the disc top opening; jars or pump dispensers are more suitable for those.
• Cap material – the outer sleeve is aluminium with a matte finish; the threaded insert and dispensing disc are PP. Only the plastic part comes into contact with the contents; the aluminium sleeve serves an aesthetic function.
• Clear PET bottle – does not protect the contents from light. For light-sensitive formulations, dark glass or opaque plastic is preferable, or storage away from direct light.

Filling and volume headspace

Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for under normal filling conditions. Total brim-full volume is the physical capacity up to the neck and is always somewhat larger. The difference provides headspace for the closed cap and for slight expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim – an overfilled bottle forces product into the thread when capped, and the disc top may subsequently leak.

Good to know

Preparation before first filling – wash the bottle and cap in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water in an empty container is an unnecessary source of microbial load for the filled product.

Filling temperature – PET is not suitable for hot contents. Fill emulsions and gels only after they have cooled to room temperature; otherwise the bottle may deform and lose its shape.

Material compatibility – PET handles standard aqueous, emulsion and mildly oily formulations well. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils or alcohol, we recommend testing the container with the specific formulation before a larger production run.

Suitability for contact with cosmetics – both the bottle and the cap are declared suitable for use with cosmetic products; the declaration of suitability is listed in the specifications of each component. The set is not intended for food contact.

Labelling – the flat section of the bottle body is suitable for applying a label. Apply the label to a dry, degreased surface.

Reuse – the bottle and cap can be reused after washing and disinfection. Do not clean the matte aluminium sleeve of the cap with abrasive products, as they may scratch it.

Recycling – the bottle is made of PET, which is among the commonly recycled plastics. The cap combines aluminium and PP; separate it from the bottle before disposal.
