Product description

Plastic bottle, cap with inner dropper, 150 ml

A ready-made set for filling liquid and semi-liquid cosmetics where you want to control the amount in a single dose. The clear PET bottle with a volume of 150 ml is closed with a white smooth cap with inner dropper. The inner dropper narrows the neck to a small opening, so the contents flow out drop by drop or in a thin stream and do not pour out all at once. It is suitable for face and body oils, massage blends, liquid soaps, shampoos, conditioners, toners and hair serums.

The clear wall shows the colour and the level of the contents, which you will appreciate with layered oils or coloured products. The plastic is lightweight and unbreakable, which is why the set is often chosen for travel packaging, for the bathroom or for products shipped to customers. Both the bottle and the cap have a 24/410 neck finish, and both parts are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics.

How the set works

  • Dispensing through the inner dropper – the inner dropper in the cap reduces the diameter of the outlet opening. Tilt the bottle and squeeze it gently, and the contents flow out gradually. Thicker emulsions flow more slowly, oils and aqueous solutions quickly.
  • Smooth screw cap – without any special mechanism, it can be unscrewed completely and the bottle refilled. Tightness is ensured by the inner dropper seating in the neck and by tightening the thread.
  • Clear PET wall – you can see how much product is left, and the customer can see what they are buying. However, it does not protect the contents from light.
  • Lightweight and unbreakable material – suitable for packaging that is sent by post.

Nominal volume and brimful volume

The nominal volume of 150 ml is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful volume expresses the physical capacity up to the neck. The difference between them serves as a reserve for the inner dropper in the cap and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If the bottle is overfilled, the inner dropper pushes part of the contents into the thread when the cap is screwed on, and the bottle may leak.

Good to know

Before the first filling, we recommend washing the bottle and the cap in warm water with washing-up liquid, disinfecting them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and letting them dry completely. Moisture left in the neck or behind the inner dropper would get into the product. Do not use hot water or a dishwasher.

PET does not tolerate high temperatures. Emulsions, gels and oils are filled only after they have cooled to room temperature, as a hot mass deforms the wall of the bottle.

Do not expose the bottle to aggressive chemicals. Undiluted essential oils or a high proportion of solvents can damage the plastic over time. At the usual usage rate of fragrance components in a cosmetic formulation, PET is used as standard. For an unusual composition, we recommend letting the filled bottle stand for several weeks and monitoring the wall, the inner dropper and the scent of the contents.

The set is not intended for contact with food. It is certified for cosmetic products, and it may also be used for technical preparations.

The bottle has a standard 24/410 neck finish, so it can also be used with other closures with the same neck type from the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend checking the tightness, the dispensing and the behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.

After use, the bottle belongs in plastics recycling as PET and the cap as PP; separate them before disposal.

Suitable for products such as

  • Face and body oils – the inner dropper releases a few drops, which is enough for one application.
  • Liquid soaps and shower gels – a thicker mass is dispensed by squeezing the bottle.
  • Shampoos and conditioners – 150 ml is a common size for travel or for a sample for a customer.
  • Toners and facial waters – aqueous solutions flow out of the inner dropper quickly and are dispensed onto a cotton pad or into the palm.
  • Massage blends – the clear wall shows the colour of the blend and the amount that remains.

Frequently asked questions

Does the clear PET bottle protect the contents from light?
No, the clear PET bottle does not protect the contents from light. We recommend storing oils and light-sensitive active ingredients in this packaging in the dark or in a box, or choosing dark packaging instead. The clear wall, on the other hand, is an advantage for products where you want to show the colour or layering of the contents.
How much product does the plastic bottle with inner dropper hold?
Fill up to the nominal volume of 150 ml. The remaining space up to the neck serves as a reserve for the inner dropper in the cap and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If the bottle is filled to the brim, the inner dropper pushes part of the contents into the thread when the cap is screwed on, and the set may not seal.
How does the cap with inner dropper work?
The cap with inner dropper narrows the neck of the bottle to a small opening. The contents are dispensed by tilting and gently squeezing the bottle, and they flow out drop by drop or in a thin stream depending on the thickness of the product. The whole cap can be unscrewed, so you can refill the bottle without removing the inner dropper.
Is the 150 ml plastic bottle suitable for oils containing essential oils?
Yes, at the usual usage rate of essential oils in a cosmetic formulation, a PET bottle is used as standard. Undiluted essential oils or blends with a high proportion of solvents can damage the plastic over time. For an unusual composition, we recommend filling one bottle as a trial and checking the wall, the inner dropper and the scent of the contents after several weeks.
Can I fill the 150 ml plastic bottle with food or cooking oils?
No, the set is not approved for contact with food. Both the bottle and the cap are certified for cosmetic products and may also be used for technical preparations. For homemade oils, syrups or herbal infusions, choose packaging whose suitability for contact with food is stated in the parameters.
