Product description

Ready-to-use set for dispensing liquid cosmetics

Plastic bottle, clear, black pump dispenser 150 ml is a ready-made combination of a clear PET bottle and a black pump dispenser with a 24/410 neck finish, designed for liquid and medium-viscosity cosmetic products. It is suitable wherever a product needs to be dispensed with a single press without unscrewing the cap: liquid soaps, shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, or light facial and body creams.

The clear material shows the colour and remaining content, making it particularly suitable for products where colour and clarity should be visible (coloured gels, lotions, clear cleansers). PET is lightweight and shatter-resistant, which you will appreciate in the shower, at the washbasin, or while travelling where glass would be a risk. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

How the set works

The dispenser screws onto the bottle neck and the dip tube reaches into the contents. One press dispenses approximately 1 ml of product, which is a typical single-use dose of liquid soap, shampoo, or body lotion. Dispensing is repeatable, the contents are not touched by hands, and water or dirt does not enter the bottle as it would with an open cap. This helps maintain product hygiene during use, but does not replace preservation of an aqueous formula.

The dispenser tube is longer than the height of the bottle so that it can be adjusted. Before assembling for the first time, trim it so that it reaches just above the bottom without bending. A bent tube draws poorly and the dispenser will then deliver uneven doses.

Trim the tube at an angle. The angled cut prevents it from suctioning to the bottom of the bottle and allows the product to be pumped out almost to the last dose.

Suitable for products such as

  • Liquid soaps and shower gels – the dispenser handles liquid to gel-consistency products without issue; a single-wash dose corresponds to typical usage.
  • Shampoos and conditioners – particularly convenient in the shower, where a bottle with a pump requires neither dry hands nor unscrewing a cap.
  • Body lotions and light creams – emulsions with low to medium viscosity pass through the dispenser without significant resistance; thick butters and balms are not suitable for this dispenser.
  • Cleansing emulsions and micellar preparations – low-viscosity aqueous products dispense evenly; however, with very thin contents the dispenser may drip slightly after pressing.
  • Facial and body oils – the dispenser delivers oils reliably; however, the behaviour of seals and plastic with a specific oil should be tested on a sample package.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed for at standard filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck. The difference between them provides a margin for the dip tube and pump body, which take up some space once screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If filled right to the neck, the product will be pushed out when the pump is attached and the set will not seal cleanly.

Preparation before filling and repeated use

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow it to dry completely. The pump simply needs to be rinsed with clean water or alcohol and pressed several times empty to flush out any residual liquid. Water residue in the bottle dilutes the finished product and unnecessarily burdens the preservation system.

The set can be used repeatedly. Once the contents are used up, unscrew the pump, wash both parts with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, rinse the mechanism with clean water, and allow to dry. When switching from one product to another (for example from a coloured gel to a clear soap), rinse the pump thoroughly and press it several times empty, otherwise residues of the previous contents will remain in the mechanism.

Good to know

Clear PET does not protect the contents from light. Formulas with light-sensitive ingredients (unstable vegetable oils, vitamin C, certain natural colorants and extracts) should be stored away from direct sunlight or packed in a dark container. For standard liquid soaps, gels, and lotions, a clear bottle is a good choice.

Do not expose PET to aggressive solvents or elevated temperatures. For formulas with a high proportion of essential oils, alcohol, or other solvents, test the bottle's behaviour on a sample piece beforehand to check for cloudiness, softening, or wall deformation.

The food-contact certification applies individually to the black pump dispenser; the bottle does not hold it. The set as a whole is therefore intended for cosmetics, not for dispensing food products.

The PET bottle wall is softer than glass, so it is advisable to choose a label with a more flexible adhesive that will not peel off when the bottle is squeezed.

Closures with the same neck type and other ready-made bottle and cap combinations are available in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend testing the seal, dispensing, and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.

The bottle is made of PET and the pump of PP, so these are two different plastics. Before recycling, disassemble the set and dispose of each part separately according to its material.

Frequently asked questions

Is the plastic bottle with black pump dispenser 150 ml suitable for thick creams?
No, this set is not suitable for thick creams and butters. The pump is designed for liquid to medium-viscosity products such as liquid soaps, gels, shampoos, body lotions, and light creams. A thick emulsion passes through the pump with difficulty, the dose is irregular, and the mechanism may clog. For thick creams, a jar or pot is a better choice.
How much product does the pump dispenser deliver per press?
The pump delivers approximately 1 ml of product per full press. This is an indicative value; the actual amount depends on the viscosity of the contents and whether the dip tube has been properly trimmed and draws without bending. With thicker emulsions the dose tends to be slightly smaller; with thinner liquids it is more precise.
Does the clear PET bottle protect the contents from light?
No, a clear PET bottle does not protect the contents from light. For formulas with light-sensitive ingredients (unstable oils, vitamin C, natural colorants) a dark or opaque container is more appropriate, or store away from direct sunlight. For liquid soaps, shower gels, shampoos, and standard body lotions, a clear bottle is fully suitable and also shows the colour and remaining product.
To what volume should the 150 ml plastic bottle with pump be filled?
The bottle should be filled to the nominal volume of 150 ml, not to the brim. The remaining space up to the neck is a margin for the dip tube and pump body and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. If filled to the brim, part of the product will be pushed out when the pump is screwed on and the thread will not seal cleanly.
Can the set with pump dispenser be used repeatedly?
Yes, both the bottle and the pump can be reused. Once the contents are used up, unscrew the pump, wash both parts with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, rinse the mechanism with clean water or alcohol, and allow to dry. Before refilling, disinfect the bottle with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol so that water residues and traces of the previous product do not burden the preservation of the new formula.
Is the plastic bottle with black pump dispenser 150 ml suitable for food?
No, the set as a whole is not approved for contact with food. The food-contact certification applies only to the black pump dispenser individually; the clear PET bottle does not hold it. The set is therefore intended for cosmetic products for which both parts are declared. For household oils, syrups, or other food contents, choose packaging with a food-contact certification for both the bottle and the cap.
