Gloss Black Glass Bottle, Black Tamper Evident Dropper, 10 ml

A glass dropper bottle of 10 ml is a ready-made combination of container and closure for small volumes of concentrated products: facial serums, oil elixirs, essential oil blends, tinctures or customer samples. Black glossy glass is opaque and therefore protects the contents from light. It is particularly suitable for formulations with sensitive oils, vitamins and essential oils that lose quality when exposed to light. The black dropper with a tamper-evident ring complements the bottle in a uniform appearance and allows precise drop-by-drop dosing.

The set is delivered as a bottle with the dropper already fitted, so there is no need to search for and test a separate closure. The dropper consists of a glass tube, a plastic screw ring and a silicone bulb. The content comes into contact primarily with glass, which is an advantage for oil-based and alcohol-based products.

What products is it suitable for

The 10 ml volume is intended for products used drop by drop or in small doses: facial serums on both oil and water bases, oil elixirs for the face and beard, essential oil blends for diffusers and baths, tinctures, perfume oils, nail and cuticle serum or samples of larger packaging. It is not suitable for thick creams or balms – these cannot be dispensed through the narrow neck with a dropper.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics; the declaration of conformity is available with the product. The food-contact certification is held separately by the glass bottle alone; the dropper does not carry it, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics, not for filling food products.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume for which the bottle is intended under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference serves as a reserve for the glass tube of the dropper, which when screwed on pushes part of the content upwards, and for the expansion of the product with changes in temperature. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim – otherwise the content will overflow through the neck when the dropper is fitted.

Good to know

Before the first filling, we recommend washing and disinfecting the bottle and dropper with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing them to dry completely. Residual water in water-based formulations would dilute the preservative, and in oils it would cause cloudiness. The length of the dropper tube is matched to the height of the bottle, so the tube reaches almost to the bottom and draws up content even at a low level.

Opaque glass has one practical disadvantage: the remaining quantity is not visible. When selling, it is advisable to state the volume on the label, and when using personally, bear in mind that the end of the content will only be apparent when the dropper comes up empty.

The silicone bulb is resistant to common cosmetic ingredients. At high concentrations of essential oils, however, we recommend verifying the behaviour of the dropper in the finished formulation, especially during prolonged storage. For repeated use, the dropper should be disassembled, the tube and bulb rinsed and dried; once the tamper-evident ring has been torn off, the packaging no longer signals integrity.

A label is applied to the cylindrical part of the bottle. The glossy black glass shows off well with a light or transparent label.

Glass goes into glass recycling. The dropper is made of mixed materials; before disposal, separate the glass tube from the plastic ring and silicone bulb.
