Yes, the glass bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the container and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and any impact on the stability of your formulation.

First, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution or with warm water and detergent, then rinsing it thoroughly with clean water so that no residues of the cleaning agent remain. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect with alcohol the inner surface of the bottle and – depending on the type of material – also the dropper, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % plant ethanol. Before filling, make sure that all parts are completely dry.

The dropper is intended for precise, drop-by-drop dosing. After drawing the formulation into the pipette, simply press the rubber part gently and apply the contents directly onto the skin, into the palm of the hand or into another container, depending on the product type. For first use, we recommend testing the number of drops needed for your application so that you achieve a repeatable, consistent dose and minimise product wastage.

Glass bottles are generally very suitable for formulations containing essential oils, since glass is a material with high chemical resistance. The dark, opaque design also helps protect sensitive components from light. Before launching the finished product, we recommend conducting your own compatibility test – checking the stability of the fragrance, colour and viscosity during long-term storage in the closed bottle.

If you do not want to reuse the bottle, we recommend, after emptying and basic rinsing, assigning it to the appropriate recycling stream according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass container is usually sorted into the glass recycling bin, while the remaining parts of the closure and the dropper need to be separated according to the material used (plastic, rubber or any metal parts) and sorted separately, if the local waste collection system allows this. Before placing it in the bin, it is recommended to remove any product residues from the packaging so that the conditions of the recycling process are not compromised.
