Glass bottle with dropper for serums and oils

The clear glass bottle with a nominal volume of 30 ml and a matte silver dropper is a ready-made set for small quantities of liquid preparations that are dispensed drop by drop. Clear glass shows the colour and clarity of the contents, so it suits facial serums, oil blends, tinctures and samples where you want to see what is inside. The dropper allows precise dispensing without your fingers touching the neck or the contents. The set includes both the bottle and the dropper and is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics.

What it is suitable for

Facial serums and oil serums – the dropper measures a few drops onto the face or décolleté area without spilling.
Oil blends and massage oils in small packs – the volume is enough for several weeks of regular use or for a test batch.
Tinctures and alcohol extracts – glass does not react with alcohol or vegetable oils, and the dropper dispenses precisely.
Samples and testers – when developing a formulation, a trial portion can be set aside in a small bottle, and clear glass reveals any cloudiness, sediment or colour change.
Nail and cuticle oil care, beard oils – drop-by-drop dispensing directly at the point of use.

Dispensing and working with the dropper

The dropper consists of a glass tube, a silicone bulb and a matte silver aluminium shell with a plastic thread. The length of the dropper matches the height of the bottle, so the tube also reaches the remaining contents at the bottom. Squeeze the bulb, immerse the tube in the contents and release. Then hold the dropper upright and squeeze the bulb slowly so that the drops fall evenly.

Store and use the bottle in an upright position. Contents that stay in the bulb for a long time are harder to dispense, and with thicker oils the bulb may become clogged.

The dropper draws up thicker oils and serums with a higher proportion of gelling ingredients more slowly. Test the dispensing with your specific formulation before filling a whole batch. Very thin aqueous solutions, on the other hand, drip faster and the dose is smaller.

Good to know

Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. Preparations that change quickly in light, such as vitamin C serums or oils prone to oxidation, are better filled into amber or blue glass, or the clear bottle should be kept in a box away from direct sunlight. For samples and short-term use, this is usually not a problem.

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful capacity given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve, so that the contents do not overflow through the neck after the dropper tube is inserted. The bottle is therefore filled up to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

Before first filling, wash the bottle and the dropper, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely. Residual water inside shortens the shelf life of anhydrous oil blends.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. It is not intended for food use. If you make your own combination, we recommend checking the tightness, the dispensing and the behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.

The bottle can be used repeatedly, and the glass withstands normal washing and disinfection. Clean the dropper carefully by rinsing it with pure ethanol and drying the tube in an upright position. For recycling, the bottle belongs with glass. The dropper is made of several materials, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.

Does a clear glass bottle with dropper protect the contents from light?

No, clear glass lets light through and does not protect the contents from it. It is therefore suitable for preparations that are not affected by light, or for short-term use and samples. For serums with vitamin C or oxidation-sensitive oils, dark glass is more suitable, or you can keep the clear bottle in a box away from the sun.

How much fits into a 30 ml glass bottle with dropper?

The bottle is designed for normal filling up to the nominal volume of 30 ml. The brimful capacity is slightly larger and you can find it in the parameters. This difference serves as a reserve for the immersed dropper tube. If the bottle is filled right up to the neck, the contents will overflow when the dropper is screwed on.

Is a glass bottle with dropper suitable for oil serums and essential oils?

Yes, glass does not react with vegetable or essential oils, and a dropper is commonly used for oil serums. For blends with a higher proportion of essential oils, we recommend storing the bottle upright so that the contents do not sit in the silicone bulb. To protect the contents from light, consider dark glass or storage in the dark.

Can a glass bottle with dropper be used for alcohol tinctures and aqueous toners?

Yes, glass is resistant to both alcohol and water, and the dropper dispenses both types of contents. Aqueous and alcohol-based preparations are thinner, so the drops are smaller and fall faster than with oil. For aqueous formulations, do not forget preservation, as the packaging itself does not preserve the contents.

How do you clean a glass bottle with dropper, and can it be reused?
