Product description

Red thyme essential oil is stronger than other thyme oils. Thyme is a perennial aromatic herb with small greenish-grey leaves and purple or white flowers. It belongs to the Lamiaceae family. Red thyme essential oil, produced by steam distillation of the flowering tops and leaves, yields a reddish-coloured oil.

It has antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral effects and also stimulates blood circulation.

It helps to overcome fatigue, stimulates the immune system, and when inhaled it helps with blocked sinuses.

In massage oils it relieves stiff muscles and joints, helps with pain and cramps and has a warming effect.

In cosmetic products it is used in the fight against acne, cellulite, bruises or eczema.

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, unsuitable for internal use. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and, in addition, they have healing and protective effects. They act very positively on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.

Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are applied directly to the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exception is tea tree and lavender essential oil, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubiliser/.

HOW DO I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Making cosmetics and soaps – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the quantity produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser or into a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils on their own are insoluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus fragrances. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.

Essential oils are also popular for use in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, oral hygiene care...
