Product description

30 ml glass bottle with black-gold dropper is a ready-made set for precise drop-by-drop dispensing of liquid cosmetic preparations. Clear glass reveals the colour and clarity of the contents, the black-gold dropper gives the packaging a consistent look and handles both closure and application in one step. The set is particularly suited for facial serums, facial oils, oil blends and concentrates that are applied in small amounts where controlled dosing matters.

The set is supplied as a matched pair of bottle and dropper with the same neck type, so closure compatibility does not need to be checked. Both components are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products and the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

What the set offers in practice

  • Drop-by-drop dispensing – the silicone bulb draws the contents into the glass pipette tube and releases it drop by drop. Suitable for preparations where a small amount per application is recommended.
  • Glass with no interaction with the contents – the glass bottle and glass pipette tube do not absorb the scent or colour of the contents. They are also suitable for oil-based preparations and preparations containing essential oils, where plastic may cloud or soften over time.
  • Transparency as a content check – through the clear glass you can see the remaining amount, any phase separation or colour change.
  • Hygienic filling and application – the contents are not poured out or scooped with a finger, so no impurities from hands enter the bottle.
  • Consistent appearance – the black cap with gold detail looks coherent in skincare ranges and gift packaging alike, and pairs well with labels in dark or gold tones.

Which preparations the set is suited for

The 30 ml volume corresponds to standard packaging of a facial serum, facial oil or cuticle oil – preparations that are used up within a few weeks in small doses. The dropper is suitable for liquid to mildly viscous contents: water-based serums, hydrogel serums with lower viscosity, oil blends, carrier oil and essential oil blends, tinctures and alcohol extracts. With thick gel serums or emulsions the dropper draws up little or nothing; for those preparations a pump is more suitable.

Choose clear glass when you want to show the colour of the contents or when the preparation contains light-stable ingredients. For light-sensitive formulas, dark glass or storing the bottle in a box is more appropriate.

With water-based serums in a dropper bottle, bear in mind that the contents come into contact with air and the dropper tube with each use. Choose a proven preservation system and have the formula undergo a stability test in this specific packaging before sale.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed to hold under normal filling conditions. The total brim-full volume is the physical capacity up to the neck. The difference between the two provides headspace for the dropper tube, which occupies part of the volume once screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, screwing in the dropper would force the contents into the thread and the bottle would not seal properly.

Good to know

  • Preparation before first filling – we recommend washing both the bottle and dropper, disinfecting with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing to dry completely. Rinse the dropper tube and leave it to drip dry pointing downwards so no water remains inside.
  • Repeated use – the glass can be washed and used again. The silicone bulb of the dropper gradually loses elasticity and may slightly swell with oils; check it when refilling.
  • Dropper material – the dropper combines a polypropylene cap, aluminium collar, glass tube and silicone bulb. The parts in contact with the contents are glass and silicone; the cap and collar are external parts.
  • Label – the straight cylindrical shape of the bottle allows standard wrap-around labels to be applied.
  • Glass and heat – do not fill the bottle with hot contents and do not expose it to sudden temperature changes, as cracking may occur. Allow the contents to cool to room temperature before filling.
  • Recycling – the glass bottle goes into glass recycling. The dropper combines plastic, aluminium, glass and silicone; sort it according to the predominant material.
  • Other closures – closures with the same neck type and ready-made bottle and closure combinations are available in the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend testing the seal, dispensing behaviour and packaging performance with the specific formula.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. It is not intended for filling food products such as homemade oils or syrups.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 30 ml glass dropper bottle suitable for water-based facial serums?
Yes, the set is suitable for both water-based and oil-based serums provided they have a liquid consistency. For water-based formulas, a functional preservation system is important, as the contents come into contact with air and the dropper tube with each use. The dropper does not draw up thick gel serums; for those a pump is more suitable.
Does the clear glass bottle protect the contents from light?
No, clear glass does not provide protection from light. It is therefore suited to preparations with light-stable ingredients or to packaging that is sold in a box and stored out of direct sunlight. For formulas containing vitamin C, retinol or a high proportion of unsaturated oils, opt for dark glass instead.
How much should be filled into the 30 ml glass dropper bottle?
Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The space above that level is headspace for the dropper tube, which occupies part of the volume once screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. If overfilled, the contents would reach the thread and the dropper would not seal.
Can the glass dropper bottle be used for oil blends with essential oils?
Yes, glass is a suitable material for oil blends and essential oils, as it does not react with the contents and does not cloud. The parts in contact with the contents are the glass dropper tube and the silicone bulb. With a high proportion of essential oils the bulb may gradually swell slightly; check it when reusing and replace the dropper if necessary.
How is the glass dropper bottle prepared before filling, and can it be used more than once?
Before first filling, wash both the bottle and the dropper, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. The glass bottle can be washed and refilled repeatedly. The dropper can also be reused, but the silicone bulb gradually loses elasticity, so when selling finished products it is advisable to always use a new dropper.
