Product description
The white glass medicine bottle with a volume of 100 ml and a white dropper with a tamper-evident ring make a ready-to-use set for products that are dispensed drop by drop. There is no need to look for a separate closure: the dropper fits the bottle and the set is supplied as a single item. The white colour of both the glass and the dropper gives the packaging a uniform look.
Both parts are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. The set is not approved for contact with food, so it is intended exclusively for cosmetics.
What it is suitable for
- Facial and oil serums – the dropper takes a small amount without fingers touching the contents.
- Essential oil blends and oil concentrates – glass does not absorb fragrance, and the dropper lets you count out the exact number of drops into the base.
- Tinctures and alcohol extracts – alcohol does not harm glass, but for longer storage we recommend checking how it affects the silicone bulb of the dropper.
- Oils for nails, beard and hair ends – the volume lasts for a long time, and dispensing drop by drop prevents waste.
For drop-by-drop dispensing, 100 ml is a rather large size. It suits products that you use daily, or it can serve as a stock bottle from which you decant into smaller packaging.
Nominal volume and brimful volume
The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The total brimful volume, given in the parameters, is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the glass tube of the dropper, which takes up part of the space once screwed in.
Fill up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If the bottle is overfilled, the contents will overflow through the thread when the dropper is inserted, and you will then not be able to tighten the dropper.
How the set works
The dropper has a tamper-evident ring that separates from the closure when it is unscrewed for the first time. This lets the customer see that nobody has opened the product yet. In this bottle the glass tube reaches almost to the bottom, so the contents can be drawn up even when the level is low.
Using it is simple. Squeeze the silicone bulb, immerse the tube, release, and press out the drops gradually. With thicker oil serums the drops form more slowly, with thin alcohol solutions faster, so test the dispensing with your specific recipe.
The set fits together, so there is no need to check the threads. The bottle can also be combined with other closures for the same type of neck, and you will find ready-made combinations in our range. For your own combination, we recommend checking the seal with your specific formulation.
Good to know
Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the dropper, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely. Residual water in the tube would get into an anhydrous product and could shorten its shelf life.
Let hot mixtures cool down before filling. The dropper contains plastic and silicone parts, so for products with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents we recommend checking the elasticity of the bulb and the seal after some time.
The dropper can be used repeatedly, but for skincare products replace the tube before each new filling or disinfect it thoroughly. Residues of the old product in the bulb are a source of contamination.
