White Plastic Bottle, Black Spray, Matte Silver Collar, Smoky Overcap, 200 ml

The white plastic bottle with a capacity of 200 ml and a black fine mist sprayer forms a ready-made set for water-based and water-alcohol preparations that are applied by spraying. You can fill it with facial toner, hydrosol, a refreshing face and body spray, hair spray, a cleaning or polishing solution, or an alcohol-based disinfectant spray. The white PET wall does not show the contents, and the plastic is light and unbreakable, so the set holds up well in a handbag, on the road and in the workshop. The silver matte collar of the sprayer gives the white bottle a clean look, and all it needs is your own label.

The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. Only the bottle has a certificate for direct contact with food; the sprayer does not. The set is therefore intended for cosmetics and technical solutions, not for food.

What it is suitable for

• Toners and hydrosols – low-viscosity water-based solutions are sprayed into an even mist that does not need to be rubbed in.
• Hair and body sprays – thin water-based or water-alcohol sprays for hair, body and skin after shaving.
• Alcohol sprays – disinfectant solutions, yoga mat sprays or fabric fresheners based on alcohol and water.
• Household and workshop solutions – a thin cleaner, water with a drop of surfactant for dampening, or products for maintaining items.

How the set dispenses and seals

The sprayer works mechanically, without a propellant. One press releases approximately 0.12 ml of solution, which is enough to dampen the face or a smaller surface without dripping. The dip tube reaches the bottom of the bottle, so almost all of the contents are used. The sprayer screws onto the bottle neck and, once tightened, seals during normal use in an upright position.

The sprayer only sprays thin liquids. Solutions with a thickener, lotions, emulsions and vegetable oils are either not pushed through at all or produce a jet instead of a mist. For solutions with a higher proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend testing the behaviour of the sprayer and the bottle wall with your specific formulation. PET should not be exposed to aggressive chemicals.

Filling and volume

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for during normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides room for the dip tube and the sprayer pump and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill the bottle up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If it were filled up to the neck, the solution would overflow when the sprayer is screwed on.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the sprayer, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely. Rinse the sprayer by spraying alcohol through it several times and then clean water, so that no residues remain in the pump. Water-based products need a preservative, just as in any other packaging.

The set can be used repeatedly if it is cleaned before each new filling using the same procedure as before the first use. After refilling, check that the sprayer still seals and sprays evenly. If you make your own combination, we recommend testing the sealing, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation. The PET bottle belongs in plastic recycling. Unscrew the sprayer before disposal, because it contains several materials, including the aluminium collar.
