Product description

White plastic bottle with black dispenser, 200 ml

The white plastic bottle with black dispenser is a ready-made set for repeated dispensing of liquid and semi-liquid products. It is particularly suitable for products that are used frequently and in small amounts – liquid soaps, shower gels, shampoos, body lotions or light emulsions. Pressing the dispenser measures out approximately the same amount each time, the contents do not spill and there is no need to touch them with hands during use.

The bottle is made of PET, it is lightweight and shatterproof, making it suitable for the bathroom as well as travel. The white wall diffuses light, helping to protect contents sensitive to sunlight, and at the same time provides a clean base for a label. The black dispenser forms a contrasting combination with the white bottle that suits both homemade products and products intended for sale. The set as a whole is approved for contact with food and cosmetics, making it also suitable for home-made oils, syrups or liquid sweeteners.

Key features of the set

  • Dispensing without spilling – one press releases approximately 1 ml of content, which is a suitable dose for soap, gel or lotion. Contents are dispensed precisely and without waste.
  • Hygienic use – the contents remain sealed in the bottle and fingers do not come into contact with the product during dispensing, which is particularly advantageous for products with a lower preservative content.
  • Light protection – the white wall transmits less light than clear plastic, so contents with plant oils, extracts or fragrance ingredients retain their colour and scent for longer.
  • Shatterproof material – PET withstands drops in the bathroom and transport in a bag, and at the same volume is significantly lighter than glass.
  • Bottle and dispenser compatibility – both components share the same neck type, the dispenser screws on without gaskets or accessories, and the dip tube reaches all the way to the bottom.

Suitable for products such as

The dispenser works best with contents that flow but are neither too thin nor too thick. The set is therefore suitable for:

  • liquid soaps, shower gels and shampoos – thickened surfactant products dispense cleanly and lather only in the palm;
  • body lotions and light emulsions – the dispenser handles the viscosity of a standard lotion; thick creams and balms are too heavy for the pump to draw up;
  • conditioners and masks with a more fluid texture – thick conditioners are better filled into a tube or jar;
  • massage and body oils – oil is dispensed directly onto the skin without dripping down the bottle;
  • cleansing gels and micellar emulsions for the face – a small dose for facial cleansing is exactly right;
  • food use – home-made plant oils, syrups, honey and fruit dressings or liquid sweeteners.

For very thin water-based products (tonics, hydrolats, facial mists) a spray is more suitable; the pump would release them in too large a dose.

How to use the set

Before first filling, it is recommended to wash, rinse and sanitise both the bottle and the dispenser with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. The dispenser is rinsed several times with clean water or alcohol and left to drain so that no water gets into the product.

The bottle is filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The nominal volume is the amount for which the container is designed for standard filling. The total volume up to the neck is greater, and the difference between the two provides a reserve for the dip tube and the body of the dispenser, which after screwing on will push some of the contents upward, as well as for slight expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the dispenser is attached.

The dip tube is supplied with extra length. If it bends against the bottom when screwing on, trim it at an angle so that it just touches the bottom. The angled end draws up even the last remnants of the contents.

Before first use, the dispenser is pressed several times without product until the dip tube fills and the product starts to come out. When transporting or shipping the product, it is advisable to place the bottle in a bag so that any accidental leakage does not damage other items.

Good to know

PET and heat. The bottle is filled with a cooled product. Hot emulsions, soap directly after heating or liquid wax can deform the bottle wall. Allow the product to cool to room temperature before filling.

PET is not suitable for products with a high proportion of essential oils, pure alcohol or solvents – these can soften or cloud the plastic over time. With a standard level of fragrance components in soap, lotion or oil there is no issue; for concentrated mixtures we recommend glass.

Reuse. Both the bottle and the dispenser can be washed, sanitised and refilled after emptying. The dispenser does not need to be disassembled; it is sufficient to rinse it with warm water with a small amount of detergent and then with clean water to prevent product residues from settling in the mechanism.

Labelling. The cylindrical body of the bottle is suitable for both a wrap-around and a standalone front label, and the white background does not affect print colours.

Closures. Any closure with the same neck type from the Handymade range fits the bottle; tested ready-made combinations can be found on the bottle's product page. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal and the behaviour of the closure with your specific formulation.

Recycling. The bottle is made of PET and the dispenser of PP; both components belong in plastic waste. Before disposal, it is recommended to unscrew the dispenser and rinse the bottle.

Both the bottle and the dispenser are individually certified for direct food contact, so the set as a whole can be used in the kitchen just as well as in cosmetic production.

Frequently asked questions

Is the white plastic bottle with a dispenser suitable for thick creams?
No, the dispenser is designed for liquid and semi-liquid products. Thick cream, balm or butter cannot be drawn up through the dip tube and the mechanism will be strained. The set is suitable for liquid soaps, gels, shampoos, body lotions and light emulsions that can be poured from the bottle. For thick textures, we recommend a jar, pot or tube.
What is the dose of the plastic dispenser per press?
One full press releases approximately 1 ml of product. For liquid soap or shower gel this corresponds to a standard dose for washing hands; for body lotion two to three presses are typically used. The actual amount depends on the consistency of the contents; thicker products come out in a slightly smaller dose.
Does the white PET bottle protect the contents from light?
Yes, the white wall transmits significantly less light than clear plastic. Contents with plant oils, extracts, vitamins or fragrance ingredients will therefore retain their colour and scent better. It is not complete darkness as with brown glass, so it is advisable to store the bottle out of direct sunlight, but for standard bathroom use the protection is sufficient.
Can I use the plastic bottle with dispenser for food-grade oils and syrups?
Yes, both the bottle and the dispenser are individually certified for direct food contact, so the set can be used for plant oils, syrups, liquid sweeteners or dressings. Wash and rinse the container before first use. With oils, rinse the dip tube thoroughly after emptying so that residues do not turn rancid.
Why is the plastic bottle with dispenser filled only to the nominal volume and not to the brim?
Because after screwing on the dispenser, the dip tube and the mechanism body take up part of the space and the level of the contents rises. The nominal volume is the amount for which the bottle is designed; the difference from the total volume up to the neck is a reserve for the dispenser and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the dispenser is attached.
How is the dispenser cleaned before refilling?
The dispenser does not need to be disassembled; it is sufficient to pump warm water with a drop of detergent through it several times, then clean water, and finally rinse with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol. The bottle is washed and sanitised in the same way and left to dry completely. Residual water in the dip tube would introduce a risk of microbial contamination into the new product.
