FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if proper hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the sprayer and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol‑based preparation, for example IPA 99 % or 96 % denatured ethanol. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant‑based. Only after the internal surfaces of the packaging and the sprayer have completely dried is it appropriate to refill the container.

How should the plastic bottle with sprayer be properly cleaned and maintained?

We recommend first rinsing the bottle and the sprayer with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent intended for manual washing. It is then appropriate to rinse the packaging once more with clean water and disinfect it with alcohol (for example using products available in the Handymade range). Pour an adequate amount of alcohol into the bottle, shake it, and allow part of it to flow through the spray mechanism so that the internal channels are disinfected. After disinfection, let all parts dry thoroughly at room temperature away from direct sources of heat.

For what type of products is this sprayer most suitable?

The sprayer is most suitable for low‑viscosity liquids that create a fine spray – for example facial and body waters, hydrolats, hair sprays, air fresheners, or light cleansing solutions. With thicker or oil‑based formulations, the spray quality may decrease, so we recommend first testing a small amount of product and checking whether the mechanism ensures the desired fineness of spraying and uninterrupted operation.

How can this packaging be safely disposed of or recycled if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle and the sprayer, we recommend recycling them in accordance with the information given in the parameter table for the product. According to the material marking on the packaging, choose the appropriate separated waste stream (for example the container intended for the specific type of plastic). Before recycling, it is advisable to empty the container as much as possible and to render any remaining product unusable according to the nature of the substance used. By following these principles, you contribute to responsible handling of packaging material.
