White Plastic Bottle, Silver Cap, 200 ml

A white plastic bottle with a volume of 200 ml and a matte silver screw cap makes a ready-to-use set for liquid cosmetic products that are poured into the palm or decanted into smaller containers. The opaque white PET hides the contents and dims the light, which suits oils and formulations with light-sensitive ingredients. The bottle is light and does not break when dropped, so it holds up in the shower, on a bathroom shelf and in a travel bag. The bottle and the cap share the same 24/410 neck finish, so you only need to fill the set and screw the cap on.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. The certificate for direct food contact applies to the bottle only; the cap does not have it, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic use. Declarations of conformity for both components are available with the product.

What the set is suitable for

• Body and massage oils – the white plastic protects the oil from light, and pouring from the neck is convenient for oils even without a pump.
• Toners, facial waters and micellar waters – water-based products that are applied to a cotton pad or into the palm are easy to dispense from the narrow neck.
• Shampoos, shower gels and liquid soaps – 200 ml is a common size for home production and for sale, and a shatterproof bottle is safer in the shower than glass.
• Bulk packaging – a larger quantity of serum, hydrosol or oil, from which smaller bottles with a dropper or fine mist sprayer are refilled as needed.

Cap and dispensing

The matte silver cap is a simple screw closure without a dispensing opening. The contents are poured straight from the neck, so the set suits products where drop-by-drop dispensing is not important. The cap is made of PP and LDPE, is tightened by hand without tools and has a matte metallic look on the outside, without gloss.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume of 200 ml is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. Physically, a little more fits in up to the neck. This difference leaves room for the closure and for the expansion of the contents with changes in temperature, for example when a bottle of oil stands in the sun or next to the shower.

Preparation before filling and reuse

Before first use, wash the bottle and the cap, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely upside down. Residual moisture in an anhydrous product or in an oil needlessly shortens its shelf life. Follow the same procedure for every further filling, especially if you change the type of contents.

PET withstands reuse as long as it is not scratched or cloudy on the inside. Hot mixtures do not belong in a plastic bottle; let emulsions and infusions cool down before filling. With concentrated essential oils, solvents and other aggressive raw materials, we recommend testing the behaviour of the material on one piece first, as the plastic may soften or turn dull. The bottle is recycled as PET, the cap as plastic (PP, LDPE).
