Try your hand at creating a silky whipped butter with us that will pamper your skin and create a cosy festive atmosphere. It combines the warming aromas of clove and blood orange, making it a little comfort ritual on cold days. The texture is light, absorbs without a greasy film and leaves skin soft and radiant.
Melt all ingredients of phase A in a water bath (approx. 70 °C). Add Coco-caprylate/Caprate and chamomile macerate, stir and allow to cool slightly.
At approx. 40 °C, add essential oils and rosemary CO₂ extract. Stir gently to disperse the fragrance evenly.
Place the oil base in the refrigerator or briefly in the freezer until it begins to solidify. The consistency should be firm around the edges but creamy in the centre.
Add the rice starch and vitamin E to the semi-cold mixture. Beat with a mixer until the mixture is a fluffy, foamy consistency. Repeat chilling and whipping if necessary.
Fill the finished butter into clean crucibles and store in a cool, dry place out of the sun. It will keep for several months if stored properly.
A light, fluffy and delicately aromatic whipped butter that leaves the skin hydrated, supple and delicately scented with a warm blend of orange and clove. Ideal as a winter post-shower or post-bath treatment and as a handmade gift.
When stored properly in a cool, dry place, it will last 6 to 9 months. Vitamin E slows down the oxidation of the oils and helps to maintain both the fragrance and color of the recipe.
The recipe is anhydrous (anhydrous) - it contains only oils and butters. Microbial growth is virtually non-existent without the presence of water, so a preservative is not needed. Beware of introducing moisture when using.
Shea butter does not hydrate with water, but acts as an emollient and gentle occlusive - softening, smoothing and helping to reduce the skin's own transepidermal moisture loss (TEWL).
If a product is exposed to heat and hardens again, it can lose its whipped texture. Store away from heat and sunlight; re-whipping will usually help.
Yes. For oilier types, reduce the coconut oil and add more light emollient; for very dry skin, add a thicker butter (such as cocoa butter) and apply to dampened skin.
Yes, stick to the recommended dermal limits. Vanilla, cardamom or a drop of cinnamon are suitable.
